The details: I am looking to move between October 15 (at the earliest) and November 1 (at the latest), my ideal move-in date being October 20. I am looking to rent for between $800-$1,100 (at the higher end, only if the place is perfect), and I am hoping to live in Santa Monica, Brentwood or West Hollywood, in that order of preference (though there isn't much in it between the last two...) I am looking for one or two roommates, but no more, and gender isn't an issue. And my story: I'm 26, British, and I moved to Los Angeles from London just over 3 years ago. I'm an aspiring (but financially secure) screenwriter, and I work part-time in different capacities. Until the beginning of this year, I spent time working for various talent agencies/production companies, and so I'm pretty familiar with the workings of the entertainment industry. I would consider myself easy to click with, quite laid-back, but I'm also respectful of boundaries and I expect the same from my roommates. Which always sounds so generic, but I suppose you've got to keep the loonies away... I like playing tennis, poker and I go skiing whenever there's the opportunity. I also work out fairly frequently, meditate (less frequently), play the guitar (with similar frequency), and I like to cook elaborate meals (pretty low frequency). I'm pretty sociable, although I won't have people over all the time, and though I like to go out, I'm more of a bar than a club kind of guy. My ideal roommate(s): Similar age bracket (early thirties is fine), someone who also likes living a happy, healthy lifestyle (pessimists, we will not get along...), and you have got to be clean! I pick up after myself and do my fair share of chores, so I am looking for the same in a potential roommate. We can be friends or not, but I would like someone with whom I at least get along, which is part of the reason for this ad existing... If you've read this far, then you deserve a lollipop.
