My failing health has caused me to have to sell my beloved Southwind Motor Home. The last time that I used it was November 2007 :(. It is powered by a 460 Ford engine and has had a Banks kit installed to improve performance and mileage. It has Directv with an automatic dish, a second dish for when you are parked where you can't get a signal; it has a new DVD player, a recent VCR, a recent 10 disc CD player, a 2(or 3?) KW inverter. There are 2 TV,s automatic leveling jacks, an awning, microwave, etc. The rear bed room has a very comfortable queen bed that has storage underneath. There is an almost new motor home cover and a "camping cover" that covers the windshield when you are camped. There is also a Cobra CB radio with a remote speaker. It also has a 50' 30 amp extention cord, and a bike rack that hold two bikes. I am the second owner. The rig has been serviced by the same shop since 1998. It has had the oil changed every 3000 miles and has gone in annually for a safety/maintainance check and belt and hose replacement. There is a new aftermarket hi-flow waterpump, 6 new Bridgestone tires and three new batteries. I will be taking it to the shop next week to have the switch for the jacks replaced and to have a new limit switch installed in the sattelite dish. The unit has about 35K miles on it. I have added a "Safe-T-Steer" and a "Davis Bar" to improve the handling, particularly in a cross wind. As it has been sitting, it is dirty, but I will have it detailed prior to delivery. Book value on this unit is almost $48,000. This is a real at half that amount. If you are looking for a clean, well maintained motor home at a very good price, come see this one. We have had a lot of fun with this rig. It looks good and is easy to drive; it's shorter length (32'9") means that you can park in National Parks and I really miss using her. Thadd We have taken it to Kansas, Texas, and most western states. We have spent almost 30 days in a row in the rig with no complaints other than bad weather!!!
