If this ad is still up - the car is still for sale Love this car, but its time to let her go and move on to a new one 4 cyl - 4-speed w/ electronic overdrive Except for the front, shes a solid 20-footer These cars (like all Volvos) are built to last - this model in particular holds the worlds record for most miles put on a single engine at 2.7 MILLION and counting... This car (like any 40+ year old car) needs a little love, but Ive done a lot of work and what is left is readily apparent - no nasty surprises here - what you see is what you get Lots of mechanical work done to her within the last year or so ($4000+) Rear main seal replaced (newer non-felt type) new clutch kit new alternator (still have original generator though) brakes redone COMPLETE exhaust - all new from the black to the tailpipe! new intake manifold plugs/wires in good shape oil pump water pump (I think, Id have to try and double check to be 100% sure) ...and a bunch of other little things... runs, drives, and stops just fine - shes my daily driver and doesnt ever let me down even on the coldest days drove her cross country last year w/ absolutely no problems Only the best for this car - all work done either at Phil Singhers here on Whidbey or at Bob Workmans in Oceanside, CA as far as I can tell most of the cars life has been spent in California The car is super reliable and hasnt let me down, but it does need a few things Carbs need work - starts, runs, and drives ok, but not at 100% Carbs really are the last thing it needs mechanically - redo the carbs and this car will roar! speedo is gummed up and doesnt work dash clock doesnt work either, but they very rarely do fuel gauge works, but needs a sender tires a little old, but still plenty of tread everything else it needs is cosmetic seats - great shape carpet - not to bad for its age physically, but rather bleached by the sun dash pad has typical cracks gauges not show quality, but very respectable IMO headliner - original and surprisingly good, but shows its age a bit door panels - not perfect, but good enough for a daily driver I think Body - overall as good, if not better, than any youll see under 10k - pretty sound w/ surface rust and bubbling in the typical places around the wheel wells and stuff, but nothing major and certainly NO HOLES Front end needs work - truck backed into the grill :( looks worse at first than it really is though - when the truck hit me its bumper pretty much lined up w/ the grille opening it can be fixed fairly easily the surround on the car is shot, but I have another that can be reworked and for a lot less than a new surround the grille itself is bent, but not as bad as youd imagine - it can be straightened also still have the hood emblem the overdrive and tranny works great has a JVC deck w/ a 12-disc changer in the trunk, but the original radio is still in the dash and looks great comes with a box of misc parts like chrome beauty rings (for the rims), extra rear lettering, side mirror, window wing vents, a car cover, repair manual, a book on the history of the 1800 series, etc well, thats about it - the good and the bad Ive tried to be a thorough as I can, but Im sure I left some things out, so feel free to email me or call with questions (I have lots more pictures, or can get a picture of a certain parts if youre patient) this car would make a good daily driver or an excellent candidate for total restoration Im asking $4500, but am open to offers and trades/trade+cash (looking for an older Volvo 140 or 240 - *maybe* a nice VW Bus or Type III - Ill take about anything into consideration though) Ill consider pretty much any daily driver - got something? make an offer - who knows what Ill be in the mood for? lol If this ad is up, its still for sale and if anyone thinks they can wait me out to lower the price, think again. check out these cool boots! vintage wrangler with great detailing, I think they date from the 70s to early 80s and all that vintage look has just come back in to style! russet brown with cream colored stitching and hearts design.
