NOW BOOKING FOR SEPTEMBER Reviewed on: 10/23/2008 "My family and I lived abroad for many years in Switzerland. When we traveled abroad we always rented individual properties because we are a family of six. Hotels were too expensive and divded our family. We rented through the internet but were never sure what we were getting ourselves into. We never experienced a horrible situation but there were some that could have been better. When we returned to the US we just continued the tradition of renting via the internet. Last summer I chose Lewes, DE as our base location for our family vacation. On a vacation website I saw the 109 Jefferson listing. Sure it mentioned that it was a charming cottage, in a historic district with a stunning sunroom, but I was hesitant to believe what I read. The pictures looked nice so we once again took a gamble and rented the property." This place was the nicest, cleanest, comfortable place we ever stayed in. Not only is it beautifully decorated and spot clean but it feels like home. We enjoyed coming home to the stunning sunroom every day to relax. We have recommended this property to all who want to visit the area and look forward to spending another week in this beautiful retreat. Gorgeous, 1850s, beach cottage completely renovated and expanded in 2006 for a perfect vacation experience two blocks from the Lewes Historic District and a short bike ride to Cape Henlopen State Park (two miles to the Atlantic Ocean) and Lewes Beach (one-half mile to the bay). 42" Flat Screen Installed June 2009.
