The HOME SERVICE SPECIALIST III makes the decision on loan applications up to the conforming loan limits; verifies customer income documentation; resolves routine title issues including but not limited to the following: vesting issues, child support liens, judgment liens and undisclosed liens reconveyances; processes subordinations; resolves appraisal disputes; executes closing actions to ensure a timely closing process; maintains a high level of customer service by being proactive in communication with customers, banking center associates and realtors. This is a Lead position. Position Summary/Responsibilities„X The HSS III utilizes the decision of underwriting to gather credit documentation from the customer and third party vendors necessary to support the loan approval decision. The HSS III¡¦s role is to work in partnership with the customer and related third parties to clear conditions and ready the loan for closing. „X Gathers credit and other documents from the customer and third parties in support of the loan approval decision. Responsible for assuring that loans are processed in accordance with Countrywide policies and procedures. „X Prepares the transaction for closing by ordering payoffs as applicable and gathering accurate 3rd party fees from the closing agent. May coordinate the closing date with the customer. „X Escalates any issues impacting decision to Underwriter or Unit Supervisor. „X Communicates pro-actively with the customer, related business partners and sales. Executes the Welcome, Follow-Up, Approval and Final Close calls to the customer per workflow standards. „X Dispositions non-funded loans in a timely and accurate manner. Ideal Candidate Profile„X Minimum of 4 years mortgage processing experience required„X Candidates must have Government lending experience ¡V FHA, VA, HUD, etc. „X College degree or course work towards a degree is preferred„X Demonstrates the technical knowledge and experience that comes from work at Countrywide or similar mortgage lender and understands the forms, systems and terminology relevant to the mortgage industry„X Worked in the mortgage industry within the past three years„X Effective verbal and written communication skills. „X Able to work overtime as needed (mandatory) Location: St. George, UT Compensation: DEOPrincipals only.
