I dont have the time to fix my 1986 AMC Eagle and am sure someone can benefit from my loss. This car is a classic and although it isnt in show condition gets plenty of looks from those who appreciate what the Eagle has to offer. It has 160k miles on it, and could use a muffler repair and new shocks. This is a cheap car to fix if you can do it yourself (new shocks are 15 dollars at any auto superstore like AutoZone). The reason I am selling it is because the torque converter has come loose and either needs a rebuild or a replacement. Right now the car isnt moving because of the converter - but previously it ran like a champ and even got great gas mileage. This is the classic 4-door sedan model. 3.1 L V6 Engine, Automatic Transmission, HP – 140, Torque – 180 ft/lbs, MPG – 18/27Blue Exterior, Black/Gray InteriorNew or newer parts include alternator, starter, battery, tensioner assembly, fuel pump, oil pressure gauge, oxygen sensor, front brake rotors, calipers, and pads, rear brake shoes, and an idler arm (steering).Engine was rebuilt from the block up about 4 years ago, meaning it got new gaskets on the heads, intake manifold, and exhaust manifolds, and the heads were cleaned and machined. It also recently got new spark plugs, plug wires, and distributor, an oil change and transmission flush with a new pan gasket. The rear differential oil is recently new, and it has a K&N air filter which was recently cleaned.The interior has bucket seats all around (2 front and 2 rear) which are all in good condition. All seat belts function properly. The rear seat folds down for extra storage space. The truck has a deep pocket for storage and a locking side storage bin for more valuable stuff. All the carpets look good and there are new carpet mats. There is a Clarion CD/mp3 player in the dash which also has an auxiliary input I’ve routed into the center console for hideaway storage.And a few random additions are a rear window defroster, front fog lights, and wheel locks so no one can steal your wheels. The car does not have an AC but it is set up for one. The wiring is waiting to plug into something so if you wanted to put AC in you just need to get the proper parts.Downfalls – It’s a 20 year old car and obviously has a few problems, although none of the problems are mechanical. Being that old, it has rust spots and the paint is somewhat faded and peeled in some areas (as can be seen in the pictures). That’s the biggest problem on the exterior, and on the interior the biggest deal is the headliner (the interior roof of the car).
