| HVAC/Plumbing Mechanical Engineer or Designer Mechanical Designer with a well rounded understanding of mechanical systems, required calculations, governing codes and mechanical consulting services for our Reno, NV office. Our company is growing and we are looking for experienced and motivated team members interested in advancing the company and working on interesting projects. This position requires residency in Reno NV .Types of system designs we get involved with:*** Do not submit if your resume does not show HVAC and Plumbing design experience***• Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) for institutional, commercial, and industrial applications • Central plants (boilers/chillers) • We are looking for an experienced HVAC/Plumbing Professional Engineer or Co-generation systems • Steam heating and process • Underground utilities and utility distribution • Vehicle and workshop exhaust source capture extraction systems • Fire protection performance designs including automatic fire sprinkler systems, aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) fire suppression and clean-agent dry fire suppression • Plumbing systems including fuels (gaseous and liquid), domestic water, and drain/waste/vent • Special waste handling--sand-and-oil interceptors and waste oil collection and storage • Type I and Type II kitchen hood ventilation for commercial applications • Backflow prevention assemblies • Medical gases • Air tank breathing-air filling stations • Compressed air systems • Process piping • Underground and above grade fuel storage tanks, dispensing facilities and appurtenances • Generator fueling and ventilation • Automatic hand-pump assemblies for emergency generator systems • Hydronic snowmelt for walkways, driveways and building entrances • Direct Digital Control (DDC) Systems • Energy management (building energy control) • Energy audits and efficiency evaluations Minimum Experience Requirements: • Mechanical HVAC and plumbing system designer • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Preferred • Project management experience • Heat Load Calculations and Energy Analysis • Solid understanding of governing mechanical, plumbing and energy codes • Specification and cost estimating experience • Construction Administration/Support Experience Computer Experience Requirements:• AutoCad 2009 proficiency • Revit MEP preferred • Trace 700 Load and Energy Analysis • MS Office • MS Excel Please submit your resume via email to: lori@dinter.com or call for questions 775-682-4620Wages and benefits are depending on experience.http://www.dinter.com/careers_reno.shtml Location: Reno, NV Compensation: Wages and benefits are depending on experience. The position functions with a high degree of autonomy and reports to the Engineering Manager. The primary focus is providing general engineering support that may include capital review, design, equipment diagnostics, process troubleshooting and project management responsibility.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Identifies opportunities to improve efficiencies/reliability in facility equipment and process/product flow. Prepares preliminary design and cost estimates required to analyze cost to benefit. Completes CAR justification accordingly.Maintains a team approach to engineering solutions, by involving appropriate members of operations, engineering, technical, and ESH staff in the optimum design of all projects. Responds to operations/maintenance management requests to analyze equipment needs related to conceptual process improvements. Prepares preliminary designs and cost to benefit assessment and responds to initiator with detailed results.Competitively bids and awards capital improvement engineering and construction contracts, in conjunction with sourcing group, based on analysis of bidders safety record, relative costs, and demonstrated ability to accomplish projects on time and within budget. Implements construction/installation strategies that minimize interruption to production plan.Manages multiple capital projects ensuring that cost and critical path goals are attained. Ensures timely receipt of required materials and proper staging through effective leadership/coordination of company employees, vendors and contract personnel.Ensures that engineering and planning strategies are designed and coordinated to achieve company objectives including the maximum life cycle use of site assets at the lowest reasonable cost. Controls and/or coordinates the allocation of equipment, and other resources to be the most economical and efficient choice to meet internal client needs and company objectives.Updates or creates maintenance operating instructions, drawings, records procedures, etc.Enforces proactive environmental, health, and safety processes in compliance with law and company policy.Ensures compliance with all company standards, practices, and procedures.Prepares capital budgets.Encourages and supports positive company interdepartmental relationships. REQUIREMENTSA combination of technical skills in disciplines such as: material handling/conveying, power transmission, hydraulic/pneumatic actuation, compression flow, heat transfer, rotating equipment balance/alignment, vibration diagnostics, lubrication technology, slurry applications, equipment structural support, equipment foundations, mass and energy balances, equipment sizing and application, fabrication drawing prep and interpretation and construction drawing prep and interpretationBachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; preferably Mechanical Engineering.Expertise and/or education in mechanical design, scheduling and cost estimating.Skills and knowledge necessary in this position requires an accredited engineering degree (Master’s preferred) in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering in addition to at least five years related experience preferably in mining, minerals, or chemical process industry.Computer proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel, Word and CMMS.Must have effective and verifiable leadership skills dealing with a diverse work force. | FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR AN ESTABLISHED, SUCCESSFUL, AND GROWING COMPANY IN BEND, OREGONOverview: Performs Electrical Design & Manufacturing / Testing support for Power Systems. Under minimal supervision the ideal candidate will coordinate with project leaders and colleagues to determine the need for and design / implement electrical components and subsystems systems that satisfy the industry’s safety and performance standards. In addition to design this position includes significant hands on support and trouble shooting of wiring systems and sensors. Prototyping /Breadboarding skills with discrete components and microprocessors are considered a plus. This position will involve working with high energy electrical devices such as batteries or utility connections.Responsibilities:• Prepare prototypes and component assemblies and systems that meet establishedspecifications• Design and build component test fixtures and test plans• Conduct and report on experiments and tests• Provide first line of engineering support for manufacturing assembly and field service• Troubleshoot and repair circuit boards to the component level• Support and interface with agency testing• Design and layout simple PCBA’s• Research component technologies and trade offsRequired Qualifications: • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.
