Why it's being rented: My roommate and I signed a lease in October. She's from Utah. I'm from NYC. I got laid off last month, and am moving back to New York. She's staying. We have July, August, and September left on the lease. At the moment, I'm trying to sublet my room, and am planning on leaving on Monday, June 22nd. My roommate is willing to consider moving out and back to her family's house if someone wants to take over the whole house (the full rent is $1150 per month). It would save us both money in the end...but she's trying to avoid the hassle of moving if possible. We're both 30 years old, and she has a 5 year old dog (a mutt) named Jack who's very friendly.
