I am looking for a housemate starting October 1st in North Las Vegas south of the Aliante Station Casino. Rent ($550 per month) and utilities ($150 per person) will be shared equally. The neighborhood is very quiet and suburban. The house has a 3-car garage, small front lawn, desertscaping, and a pool. The back yard also contains two fruit trees and a vegetable bed. I also volunteer at the Cooperative Extension orchard and will be re-establishing a worm bin at the house this month. The room that is available is the master bedroom with its own walk-in closet and full bath. I have rarely lived in the same place for long, so the living room and dining room are basically empty. The bedrooms are carpeted, the living room/dining room/family room spaces are all beautiful bamboo floors, and the kitchen and bathrooms have natural rock tile. I am a woman in my thirties who works as a biologist in the Las Vegas area. My lifestyle is quiet and outdoorsy - I'm not the stereotypical Las Vegan. I prefer to live as organically and environmentally as possible. In Las Vegas, this is no mean feat. I ride my bike to work when meetings and weather permit. I volunteer at the extension cooperative orchard and am attempting to grow my own fruits and vegetables (with mixed results).
