Ok, my lease is almost up (ends July 31st) but I found a great opportunity to move elsewhere and need to get out now. You could take over the last month of my lease, renew the contract in August, and get a FREE iPod Touch (it's part of the renewal special they're running). The Oak Place Apartments are Apartment-style student housing just off the UMKC campus, at 5050 Oak St (right in between the Plaza and UMKC). They are slightly expensive, but there are GREAT benefits. All bills are included, there is a washer and dryer in the apartment, you get your OWN bathroom, as well as all the big kitchen appliances you need (dishwasher, fridge, microwave, range, oven, etc). High speed internet and cable TV are also provided. The location is amazing too...I walked to class every day, and the Plaza, Nelson Art Museum and all the parks are within walking distance, saving you lots in gas. In addition to the perks above, you also get access to WIFI throughout the building, a billiards/game room, a nice workout facility and 2 courtyards for outdoor grilling/activities. The complex is equipped with secure entrances on all floors, and a secure parking garage is also available. This really is a good deal! Also, this is PART of a 2-bedroom room. You would be sharing the kitchen/living room with another person. Like myself, he is a quiet and focused grad student who keeps the place clean. I hardly notice him, we have our own space, and like I said -- having your own bathroom is a definite plus!
