Here is a very unusual – and unplayed! – 1985 Schecter Stratocaster, from the Texas era I believe. This one has the brass humbuckers with two push-pull pots and a 3 way switch, for a wide variety of humbucker and split coil sounds. This guitar would be classified as vintage near mint except that there are a couple minor handling marks here and there on the body….so to be safe we will call it vintage excellent + + +. The frets are almost like new, showing only microscopic wear…..the new owner will be impressed with how new this guitar looks and feels. Back of neck has absolutely no wear and is mint. Headstock edges are crisp and new looking. The gold plating is all intact throughout.The bridge and tuners are the Schecter-logo type. Schecter tuners are staggered (no string tree is necessary) and the original locking nut is in place (it can easily be removed by taking out two screws…..it is not the type that goes through the neck to the back of the neck, thankfully). I have several of these strats that I play and I removed the locking nut and filled the holes…..they stay in tune fine.The pickguard is a very cool gold mirror type that is factory original and a perfect fit for this electronic configuration. It is in great shape with minor surface pick wear showing.Comes with an original warranty document, original case, and screw-in whammy bar ( whammy bar has a little rust on it but is otherwise in great condition).The guitar is a medium weight…it is not a feather-light strat like some from the 60s but it is also not a heavy guitar like many late 70s strats…I found it to be very comfortable.Interesting flat jack plate is brass. All the electronics are in working order and the humbuckers allow great traditional jazz tones along with many typical strat single coil combinations.This guitar was recently pro set up in Boston and is an absolutely perfect player….close action all the way up on a dead flat straight neck. The guitar recently came from the second owner and has a traceable history: the original owner was a music store teacher in New Jersey; purchased then by one of the teachers students in 1961 and it has been with that family ever since, without being played much. Close to all-original....Tall frets are in GREAT shape.....no significant marks anywhere...overall VERY clean with light wear.....original feather-lightweight tailpiece...ABR1 wireless bridge.....all the parts are original including switch tip. No belt buckle wear and no wear on the back of the neck. Qualifies for Vintage-Excellent designation. please see the pics of the double-white PAFS.........covers have not been off....both are double white with 100% stickers intact. Some gold worn off of the tailpiece, bridge and pickup covers...the metal parts have a nice natural relic look. At the same time, the finish is in remarkable condition with very few marks; headstock edges are very clean with just a small amount of wear. Pickguard is orig with very minor warp...it is fine. The guitar is so close to original, and I also make the following disclosures: The student who purchased the guitar had a Bigsby added in the early 60s (recently removed)..the type that does not put holes in the top...there are 4 tiny holes in the rim (no extra holes in the top). The owner had the Bigsby strung THROUGH the stop tailpiece! The stop tailpiece is original and the feather-lightweight type. Tuner buttons are useable but shrunk. They are currently stable. If the guitar is purchased to be played alot, I would retire the tuners to the case pocket and install new reissues. Orig case in extremely nice condition....it shows minor wear that matches the wear level on the guitar...very clean...a little wear on the back edge. Neck volume pot has a dead spot at \"10\" but otherwise all the electronics seem to work pretty well. The neck pickup ring has slot screws in it....they look extremely old and are the correct size and length....I believe these to be original....the entire guitar is unmolested and has not been apart, adding evidence to their originality. If you believe they are not, I have some period-correct screws I will include that are a match with philips heads. The truss rod cover is a single ply black....looks extremely old and has the original screws....it looks original to me although I have also seen some that say \"stereo\"...again, it looks VERY old and is exactly like the truss rod cover on my 1959 es-175.BONUS - I had my luthier make a guitar cord that has a 3 conductor plug on one end; this converts a stereo guitar to mono function and essentially makes the guitar act in every way like a mono guitar….it is included and is VERY cool!Shipping UPS 250.00 to usa Location: Smithfield, RIits NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
