I originally purchased this car to commute for work, but recently took a new position closer to home so I no longer need it. It has about 186k on it; the previous owner bought it in 1994 and used it to commute back and forth to Boston. All of the servicing was done at Pierce imports in Wakefield, RI. The car runs and drives beautifully. The interior is in excellent condition. The driver seat has a crack in it, but the dash, passenger seat, and rear seat are perfect. No check lights lit up on the dash or check panel when the car is running! The driver side window channel needs to be cleaned; it has some trouble going down. I put some lubricant on the window channel and it worked beautifully. The clutch is tight and the car shifts very smooth. The tires have good tread, but are dry rotted. I will be including a set of studded snow tires mounted on rims with a ton of tread left on them. There is a rust spot on the driver side front fender rocker where all of the e30’s get it. Aside from that and a few small spots by the tail light, the car is dent and ding free. Some of the clear coating is peeling on the trunk lid. It still has the original front spoiler and fog lights. Fog lights work! It drives and stops straight; a rear brake line broke and needs to be replaced. When you drive this car, you can tell the previous owner did the regular maintenance and took care of it. I tried to explain as best as possible. 1990 BMW 325i....It is a 5 speed manual transmission with 106,000 miles on it. The car is a four door maroon sedan with hardly any cosmetic flaws; there is a small dent in the hood which makes it a little temper mental at times, a scratch on the drivers side door, and the front under carriage is a little bent b/c it came off of another car. The car is nearly twenty years old but I drive it every day and never had a problem with it. The only thing I know it needs is a relay switch a $20 to make the blinkers work. The part that is easily self installed and can be bought at Napa or Autozone, I just havent had the time to do it. Hello, This car was a good deal for me and I think I would be a good deal for you. It does have a few problems. 1. The transmission slips. When this happens, I would press the accelerator with my foot. The car would rev for about 1 second, then engage, after which I have no problem. I do not believe that this is a major issue. There is a leak in a hose or a seal and the transmission fluid slowly leaks out. I have been adding transmission fluid every 2 weeks or so. This makes the car run fine. It only slips when I mistakenly let the fluid get too low. 2. The driver side door handle is broken. It does open and close, but not conventionally. 3. I have removed the battery because it was junk. 4. The car is unregistered, uninspected, and has no license plates on it. 5. The muffler is starting to get a little noisy, but not too bad in my opinion. So, thats it. Again, this Explorer has been good to me. I would keep it if I could. I originally posted the car for $700, but keeping this list of issues in mind, have lowered the price.
