Located in The Point neighborhood, we are 2 blocks to the bay, 3/4 miles tothe base and the Newport Bridge entrance, a short walk into town. And, it is quiet....a very desireable neighborhood. The apartment is presently furnished in a modern/deco style andcan be rented fully furnished ( the price is different, $1750/mo). The photos show it furnished. The apartment is above a garage that is primarily used for storage. It is spacious, and light. There is parking for 2 cars, a rarity in The Point, a washer and dryer, central air conditioning and we welcome pets. Although all dogs must be approved. There is a large deck off the back that overlooks our yard but offers privacy via its trees. The appliances in the kitchen are all brand new as of June. There is a master bedroomon the main floor ( second floor ). The second bedroom is the entire third floor and is broken up as a living area and bedroom on opposite side of the room. This is by far the best possible deal for a responsible, quiet non-smoking military/grad-student/teacher/professional (no pets) who needs a house to share for the school year. But I am VERY picky. I live in a 2-bedroom house with parking in a perfect location of downtown Newport. It is a wonderful location as you can walk to restaurants, Salve Regina (a mile or so?) and First Beach (less than 1 mile.) It is about 18 miles (25 minutes or so) from URI. You have your own bedroom AND bathroom. The place is partially furnished with TV, Futon, Table and Chairs, full Kitchen including new appliances, Dish Washer and powder room (half bathroom.) That is the downstairs. Your bedroom (upstairs) has only a bed and dresser with mirror and a closet. Your (newly re-done) bathroom contains bath/tub, excellent and quiet Washer and Dryer. This is the best deal available for a very responsible, quiet, mature grad student or teacher or professional. The catch is that I want all of the money up front. So, I want $3000 total up front for the 9-month rental. You may move in as early as August 1. Note that this house would probably rent for $3000 for just the month of August as a summer-rental. You move out sometime in May (but that date is flexible either way.) I would like a $500 security deposit up front as well. I travel frequently so the place will be yours alone quite often. Again, this is a perfect deal for the right person. I will do credit checks as well as call your school/employer/references. Email me if you have questions as well as to tell me about yourself. If you have late payments or other negatives on your credit report, or if you have anything other than excellent references, please dont bother. Lets not waste time if youre not an excellent candidate for this opportunity. Car should ideally be used for local driving or for parts. Currently running however the brakes need to be checked before driving regularly (which is why the price is so low).
