The massive true vertical column, along with a perfectly aligned projection assembly, film stage and lens stage, results in an image in which the center and all four corners are in simultaneous sharp focus and in which the center of the projected image does not move, irrespective of the image magnification. The center remains stationary, even while increasing/decreasing the size of the projected image, so it is never necessary to move the easel in order to recenter the image from wallet size through larger than 24 x36" on the baseboard. The lens: The Beseler 150mm HD lens with a F-Stop range of F5.6 to F32, and offers brilliant reproduction over a wide range of enlargement ratios. This lens is generally used for working with 4 x 5" format negatives. With a six-element design, the Beseler HD lenses provides resolution of the finest details while maintaining a uniformly high contrast on axis to field edge. The HD lenses have a pre-set diaphragm and removable full and half stop detents, plus a 50mm mounting thread.
