I have a 1997 Subaru Legacy Gt, 4WD, Automatic. that was our driver vehicle up til about 2 weeks ago. The motor is going out of it, we have been able to still drive it to the end of the road and back. We were also able to limp it home the night it started making noise. It has about 182,000 miles on it and quite frankly we consider it a shame to just scrap it, because it's still in pretty decent shape. we were able to get another Subaru off of one of my hubby's friends, that was a running, driving car with some body damage, so we did remove the GT hood and spoiler off this and put on our now "new" subaru. so the "old" Subaru now has just the basic Legacy hood and spoiler, with a ripped bumper cover. But the interior is immaculate Leather seats, fancy wood trim, Power windows, power locks, cruise, tilt, inspected til the end of this month. 2.5L motor IF someone has the know how to rebuild this motor or a replacement 2.5L motor, this was an awesome running little car, perfect in the Snow.
