Nice condition Columbia Sports 3 bike with a 3 speed Sturmey Archer hub.  The only problem with it is we can't get it to shift.  I'm pretty sure the shifter cable is just frozen in the housing preventing it from being able to shift but that's just my opinion and I don't have the time to mess with it.  You can still ride it, but for now it's stuck in 3rd gear, which actually isn't too bad.  Rides great, tires still have plenty of life left and would be a perfect city bike.  My girlfriend rode it, who's 5'4" and it fit her pretty well.   Location: Center City / Graduate Hospital it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interes

1955 men's Rudge Whitworth Sports men's model with 3-speed Sturmey Archer AW Alloy-bodied hub. Chromed steel drop bars, "eye-stabber" brake levers and correct "upside-down" SA (1953-56) trigger shifter. This model has the trademark "Hand" in the chainwheel-probably the coolest crank ever made. A nice bike with some age on it, but very little in the way of wear and tear. It is very nice to ride-stable and fast and even has the leather hub-polishers. Tires, shift cable and original type bar tape are recent. Brake pads are original and dry-they slow the bike, but should be replaced. Brooks B-17 saddle is not original, but is reasonably correct. Cash on pickup in Doylestown. I will entertain offers on the bike without the saddle and pump. If you are looking for a drop bar Rudge, here it is in good riding condition. I believe this bike is a 10 speed with a 48cm frame. I am 5'5, but the bike could fit anyone a few inches taller or shorter. It is super reliable and fully functioning. I ride it all day, every day for work and it never lets me down. It has new tubes and new tires. New wheels added less than a year ago. It has general ware from the city...the seat is ripped and patched with electrical tape. The handlebars could use new tape and also have some electric tape fixes. The paint on the frame is chipping in places (especially along one side...see picture), but there is very little rust.
