I am a single, professional female. I am very quiet and clean, and own a male housebroken dog (yes, he is neutered). I am looking to rent a 1 or 2 BR apartment (or small cottage) up to $800; however, due to an eviction (fall 2008), I am unable to even apply for apartments with managed companies. It was my fault, so I did take responsibility - the debt is paid off and I have changed my spending/saving/planning habits. However, my current contract in Hillsboro is ending this summer, and I am looking at a position in the Wilsonville area. As a landlord, I can see why you would not want to rent to me, but I am more than willing to provide an extra deposit if you would consider renting to me. Like the title says, Im looking for somewhere to live rent free with my own bedroom & bathroom (prefferably) In exchange for light cleaning and cooking. I have an approximately 3,300 sq ft house on Bull Mountain. It is in great shape with hardwood floors downstairs, a huge master suite with tub & shower, and a walk-in closet with built-in shelves. The house also has a surround-sound projection TV system in the TV room, a large open loft, laundry room upstairs, a nice-sized office, large deck with new hot tub, floor-to-ceiling wine cooler near the galley style wet bar and walk-in pantry. It has a 3-car garage. I do not need this large of a house anymore after going through a divorce. The market is tough to sell into right now for everyone. If you are looking to take advantage of the lower prices and want to move yourself or your family into a larger house but are finding it tough to sell your townhouse, condo or small house I would be open to working something out with you. I am flexible on the location I would move to. Anywhere from approximately 185th towards downtown, the hills in Forest Park (north of HWY 26) all the way to downtown, and South all the way to Sherwood are locations Id be open to. Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin, Sherwood, Lake Oswego. I would want at least a 1-bedroom condo, and would prefer a 2-bedroom townhouse with at least a 1-car garage. Fixer-uppers are fine. It seems most comparable houses nearby are listed for $400k up to nearly $500k, but realistically I would expect the house to sell close to $400k. I have it listed at 384,900. Its on the MLS in the 97224 zip code in case youd like to see the listing and see pictures, etc. I paid $479k in February, 2006 and put in another approximately $20k in leveling part of the low-maintenance backyard for a lawn, a 2nd deck, and hardwood floors on all of the 1st floor.
