Hey there lovely peopleIm a peaceful fun laid back conscious person looking for a new living space beginning July 1st or soon therefter. What Id like to find is a room in a cozy home with like-minded conscious people where there is a shared intention to co-create a harmonious living space together. My life centers around spirituality and the divine and I do counseling work in the community offering low cost services to those who need support as well as meditation instruction and spiritual coaching. In order to make sure the bills get paid on time I also do freelance technology consulting although my primary work centers on healing practice and building community. I am committed to personal growth and spiritual practice and I meditate and do yoga and study daily although I am not into organized religion. I also dont put my trip or beliefs on others because I respect everyones unique path and lifestyle choices, Im friendly to almost all alternative lifestyles and practice some myself. In addition, Im a writer who maintains a blog and a zine and my writing focuses on spirituality, psychology and transformation. I live simply and have very little stuff and dont own a car so I dont need much space. I am mostly vegetarian although I do eat meat on rare occasions though never at home. I drink very little, just a good beer or glass of wine from time to time and the occasional puff of the green stuff but I keep a healthy clear state of mind for the most part. My approach to communal living which Ive done a great deal of involves open honest communication and a balance between connection and personal space. I would like to live with people who want to have some kind of connection without needing or forcing it to be more than it is. I have a strong community of friends but am always open to more and tend to think of roommates more as family when it works well. Hey there peeps.....Im looking for a new place to call home beginning by July 5th in inner SE Portland or thereabouts. Id like to find a cool laid back cozy place to spend the awesome Portland summer and probably longer if its a good fit. Im staying with friends after moving out a of long term sublet so Im ready to find a sweet place. A little about me.........well Im a friendly laid back kind of guy who gets along well with almost everyone. The work I do represents my passion and involves offering low cost informal counseling services to the community in coffee shops, parks and peoples homes. Im a counselor that does house calls ;) Working with people is my passion. In addition to counseling work I am also a writer focusing on things like mental health, psychology, spirituality, politics and other things. I consider my work very much heart based and creative. Im a person that finds a great deal of meaning in life and I enjoy it very much. Spirituality is important to me as well and I meditate and do yoga daily but dont subscribe to any organized religion. You could say Im a bit of an activist when it comes to health, spirituality and society and am active in working to bring about a more conscious compassionate society. Some of my other interests include many of the usual things like music (ah music all kinds of music), dance (mainly ecstatic and trance), the occasional drink (beer and wine mostly), the occasional puff (green), alternative medicine, gardening, zine making, sustainability, PDX coffee shops (for work and connection and awesome coffee), art, consciousness, connection and community and quite a bit more.Basically Id like to find a place with somewhat like-minded people who are pursuing their own paths passionately and are into some connection and community. I have very little stuff so only really need a small space. I am mostly vegetarian, never eat any meat at home and eat it only rarely. I dont watch TV either or own a car if that matters. A place with a good connected community vibe would be great, with open communication and a balance of connection and personal space. Im in the process of building a large dog run/kennel for my dogs who have decided after 8 years to start digging holes in the lawn.I still need a few materials and need them at little or no costs. Im looking for chain link fencing or kennel fencing panels at least 6 feet tall. I also need the metal fence posts for the chainlink fencing. Also in need of gravel and or cement/concrete. If you have any of these materials laying around please let me know. We just moved into a house - where part of our deck is enclosed with a white picket fence, however the edge near our front door and front steps is not enclosed. My mother in law is in a wheelchair but can walk a couple steps - but cannot at our place because there is nothing to hold onto. I only need about 3 feet in length of fencing to enclose the rest of the deck so she can have something to use to pull up and walk on her own.If you are remodeling and getting rid of any - I would really like it.If you are near gresham please let us know. Hi,Im looking for a room to rent starting July 1st.A lil about me:Im a single straight male, late 30s, raw food veggie, hiker , bicycle commuter (just did a sunrise at the summit hike at Hamilton Mtn.), community oriented (work at Peoples Food Coop, Free Geek, etc). I work for a software company downtown. Im environmentally conscious and try to maintain a sustainable lifestyle as much as possible.My living habits:I get up at 5:30 and do yoga.Im usually in the kitchen every morning around 7am making noise.I generally at work from 8am - 5pm, M - F. But I do sometimes work from home.Ill have a beer on occasion.I dont smoke.I like to sit outside and eat.I like to sleep outside, especially when its hot. On a occasion you might find me camping out in the back yard.I read a lot, listen to music, geek out on my computers, and cant watch enough TED conferences.* I do have a motorcycle. However, Its not the kind thats so loud it rattles the windows, makes children cry and animals run for the hills. Its for exploring the more remote areas on the weekends.There are certain things in a house the Ive come to enjoy: The positive energy of animals and plants.No big screen TV in the living room as if it were an altar to mass media.A garden.Places I like to hang out: Mt. Ok heres the deal I, my boyfriend, and our other dude friend just want somewhere to live. A 2 or more bedroom house in a convenient location like downtown or se area not past 82nd.
