I have a PS3 (Playstation 3) that I recently got from a friend. I saw it working on his HDTV. I took it home and tried hooking it up to my TV with the provided AV multi out cable, BUT my TV is not HD, so it wasnt coming on. I got online and found out they need to be reset by holding the power button down, after you switch it from a HDTV to a non HDTV. I did it and I got the sound back and if I put a disc in it plays it fine. HOWEVER- I am not getting any video.
