This includes the Rudy head, trap door, ramp diverter, displays, etc. There may be a few bulbs out or other little things that could use tweaking, but the main functions all work and last I checked (a month or so back) all the bulbs were fine. I replaced a GI connector in the backbox as well as bridge rectifiers on the driver PCB, so that is good to go now. The driver PCB is quite nice, with perfect connectors -- no wires soldered directly to the PCB or anything nasty like that. The flippers flip nicely.Cosmetically, it could be better. This is a pretty typical road-worn Funhouse. The game is dirty and could use a full tear-down, cleaning, waxing, tumbling of metal parts, new rubbers, etc. Or at the very least, a good scrubbing. Various parts of the ramps and plastics are cracked. Im offering a quantity of two \"Peerless Magnarc\" arc-lamp housings.These had been used long-ago with 1940s vintage 35mm. movie-projectors.Im seeking $200 apiece for each of the 2 lamphouses.Each of these lamphouses is quite large (34\" long x 22\" diameter) and heavy (approx. 150 pounds).They are both identified as \"CineArc\" Type G, with consecutive serial-numbers, as follows: 42228 and 42229.They were made by J.E. McAuley Co. in Chicago.If youd want to inspect a restored and clean lamphouse of this type, visit the the mezzanine of the Broadway-Metroplex Movie Theater in downtown Portland. Its positioned there as a \"conversation-piece.\"Technical aspects:This huge, Peerless Magnarc lamphouse was located at the back end of the 35 mm. film-projector. In front of the lamphouse was situated the actual film-projector, the film-reels, the film-transport mechanism, the heads for reading the sound track, and the lens housing. (All of these crucial items have already been sold at high value.)The high-intensity light was produced by a carbon arc process -- which utilized copper-coated, carbon rods with their tips very close to each other. When a low-voltage DC electrical current was passed through them, they would generate a continuous bright spark between their tips (similar to an arc-welding machine). However, each pair of rods would only last approximately 20 minutes, which explains why movies came in a series of separate reels, to be used alternately between the pair of projectors.The circular spout at the top of the lamphouse was connected to a flue to vent away the fumes and the excess heat. The little window on the side has dark glass, so that the projectionist could safely observe the arc without eye-damage.History:The Peerless Magnarc lamphouses were originally made by the J.E McAuley Manufacturing Company of Chicago.
