Hey there lovely peopleIm a peaceful fun laid back conscious person looking for a new living space beginning July 1st or soon therefter. What Id like to find is a room in a cozy home with like-minded conscious people where there is a shared intention to co-create a harmonious living space together. My life centers around spirituality and the divine and I do counseling work in the community offering low cost services to those who need support as well as meditation instruction and spiritual coaching. In order to make sure the bills get paid on time I also do freelance technology consulting although my primary work centers on healing practice and building community. I am committed to personal growth and spiritual practice and I meditate and do yoga and study daily although I am not into organized religion. I also dont put my trip or beliefs on others because I respect everyones unique path and lifestyle choices, Im friendly to almost all alternative lifestyles and practice some myself. In addition, Im a writer who maintains a blog and a zine and my writing focuses on spirituality, psychology and transformation. I live simply and have very little stuff and dont own a car so I dont need much space. I am mostly vegetarian although I do eat meat on rare occasions though never at home. I drink very little, just a good beer or glass of wine from time to time and the occasional puff of the green stuff but I keep a healthy clear state of mind for the most part. My approach to communal living which Ive done a great deal of involves open honest communication and a balance between connection and personal space. I would like to live with people who want to have some kind of connection without needing or forcing it to be more than it is. I have a strong community of friends but am always open to more and tend to think of roommates more as family when it works well. Hey there peeps.....Im looking for a new place to call home beginning by July 5th in inner SE Portland or thereabouts. Id like to find a cool laid back cozy place to spend the awesome Portland summer and probably longer if its a good fit. Im staying with friends after moving out a of long term sublet so Im ready to find a sweet place. A little about me.........well Im a friendly laid back kind of guy who gets along well with almost everyone. The work I do represents my passion and involves offering low cost informal counseling services to the community in coffee shops, parks and peoples homes. Im a counselor that does house calls ;) Working with people is my passion. In addition to counseling work I am also a writer focusing on things like mental health, psychology, spirituality, politics and other things. I consider my work very much heart based and creative. Im a person that finds a great deal of meaning in life and I enjoy it very much. Spirituality is important to me as well and I meditate and do yoga daily but dont subscribe to any organized religion. You could say Im a bit of an activist when it comes to health, spirituality and society and am active in working to bring about a more conscious compassionate society. Some of my other interests include many of the usual things like music (ah music all kinds of music), dance (mainly ecstatic and trance), the occasional drink (beer and wine mostly), the occasional puff (green), alternative medicine, gardening, zine making, sustainability, PDX coffee shops (for work and connection and awesome coffee), art, consciousness, connection and community and quite a bit more.Basically Id like to find a place with somewhat like-minded people who are pursuing their own paths passionately and are into some connection and community. I have very little stuff so only really need a small space. I am mostly vegetarian, never eat any meat at home and eat it only rarely. I dont watch TV either or own a car if that matters. A place with a good connected community vibe would be great, with open communication and a balance of connection and personal space. We are a fun couple that are going through individual divorces, and are looking for a nice place to live convenient to downtown and LO. The ideal place would be unique (were not in to conventional apartment living), relatively private, walking distance to shopping, 1BR, and inexpensive. We love the idea of a small cottage, perhaps a guest home or mother-in-law quarters off of your main home, or any other scenario that gives us privacy, our own space to cook and live, and serenity. We are interested in hearing all options, and will offer some of our own to you upon mutual interest. Those options include a possible Rent to Own situation, reduction in rent for my sweat equity (I have personally completely remodeled my old home and would be more than willing to remodel your kitchen, bathroom, flooring, build new rooms, landscaping, etc) or any other options that seems reasonable to the both of us.Due to the impending divorces, money is tight right now, but suffice it to say that you will be dealing with two educated, friendly, professional and artistic people. We both have nice homes that we are leaving, so we want to ensure that the place we choose continues to be peaceful and quiet, quite simply, a home to us. We do not necessarily believe that this will be our final resting spot, but we intend to be there through the summer, in to the fall, and perhaps longer. About us:Me, a 28 yr. old health-conscious, creative single mama/self-employed health counselor/cook/gardener/music lover/yogini/avid student of life and my 9 week old beautiful, calm son are looking for a loving community/home in SE/NE Inner PDX. We are quiet by nature (he a little less quiet than me given that he is a baby ☺), love being outdoors (hiking, camping, walking through the forest and parks, gardening), and are fond of animals. I grew up with many dogs and cats and thus have no problem with animals in a home and would love living with them as long as they are well-behaved, clean, gentle and good with babies. We do not have any pets of our own, though. I cook almost every meal (organic, local, seasonal food whenever possible) and we enjoy cooking and sharing meals with others and would love to be part of a community/home that enjoys this too. We are not vegetarian (he the plump breastfed babe) but respect others’ ethics around this, as I used to be vegan and macrobiotic. And we recycle whenever possible. I used to make kombucha and would like to do this again, as well as bake bread and other delicious domestic pursuits.We tend to be early-risers and enjoy quiet time in the mornings (without tv or loud music); this also means that we go to bed early and would appreciate living with housemates who either do the same or are quiet in the evenings. I have a steady meditation and yoga practice, and I can tell that he will like this too. For now, he just watches. I am a photographer, crafter, reader, writer, knitter and traveler. I recently lived in Mexico for two years, working as a nutritional counselor at a women’s retreat center, and apprenticing with a local herbalist/midwife/wise woman. And yes, I speak Spanish. I’d love to learn the guitar and would be interested in living with people who enjoy playing music and doing art projects around the home. Id also like to have a roommate/s that I can communicate with and enjoy some time together cooking and doing whatever. Im an avid outdoor person who loves Oregon territory. I go snowboarding at least once a week. Once Spring time comes around I like all the outdoor activities, although I hardly ever get to because I dont have a car. Im a pretty tidy person and respect others property/domain. I can provide you with references and proof of income stability. I can commit to a lease if need be. Im the kind of person who believes in the integrity of a handshake. Id like to find a place that I can call home not just a place to sleep. I’m a 36 year old female who has lived in PDX for nearly 12 years. I’m a teacher and I spend a lot of time doing stuff outdoors – mostly biking, hiking, kayaking and x-c skiing. I’m big into recycling and thrifting, and I’m interested in local politics. I have a fair number of houseplants. I don’t have a lot of common space furniture (just a coffee table, in fact).I’m open to any number of housing arrangements: traditional shared housing, renting the upstairs of your house, renting a mother-in-law apartment, etc. I like living with both men and women; in fact, I think a mix is ideal. Since I bike a lot, I prefer to live relatively \"close in\".I’m a non-smoker and I’m allergic to some cats. I’m definitely a light sleeper, so my housemates would need to be relatively quiet people (or at least sensitive to my sleeping habits). I’m not a huge partier, though I’ll have people over a few times a year. I’m not the kind of person to have my boyfriend over every night.Let’s see… what else? I’m hoping that my monthly costs won’t exceed around $500-600 (including utilities). I’m an omnivore, but I don’t eat much meat and rarely if ever prepare it in the home. I clean up after myself and pitch in around the house, and Im open to cooking together on occasion or having a beer on the porch. We just moved into a house - where part of our deck is enclosed with a white picket fence, however the edge near our front door and front steps is not enclosed. My mother in law is in a wheelchair but can walk a couple steps - but cannot at our place because there is nothing to hold onto. I only need about 3 feet in length of fencing to enclose the rest of the deck so she can have something to use to pull up and walk on her own.If you are remodeling and getting rid of any - I would really like it.If you are near gresham please let us know. I have two aerobeds that both came with the same pump, but alas, both pumps quit working on me at the same time and will no longer hold a charge. I am looking for a new pump, preferably the same kind, but I would be just as happy with another variety (i.e., the newer battery powered aerobed pump/flashlight) as long as it works. The one Im trying to replace is the Model 109DC Rechargeable NiCd battery powered pump, 12V DC. I would even consider trading one of the aerobeds for the pump outright since I only use one for the back of my truck; both beds are in excellent condition and are complete with the bag and patch kit. Having 3 parent figurs 2 sets of rules even tho thay follow my lead with him there is a lot of confusion in the house and stress in the house my son has started to dis like is family and that is not good. Thay love him with all there hart but the stress of it shows. I have great support for him and a team of doctors and family to support him and me. we moved in with family and we share a room but now more then ever he needs his own space to heal and become the a normal child. He is a wonderful, smart,full of life child and wants people to see he`s O.K. and not sad all the time so on the advice of all the doctors i`m looking for a home for us but i am having a hard time doing it and finding a apartment with a small income and when my son becomes more stable i can go back to work but right now i can pay up to 700. a mo rent and pay up to 1,400 to move in i`m looking for a 2 bed room apartment in the Portland public school dist. so my son can continue in the program he is in and keep the stability of the same school .I`m not looking for hand outs or any thing free. Odd as it may sound, Im looking for your yard debris! Im building a woven fence around my garden, and have found the best material is the long prunings from trees (like the suckers that grow around the base of some trees, etc.) Its better if they are not too dry; still growing is best, because they are pliable and can be woven. If you need some quick trimming done around the base of a tree that has long suckers, Ill happily come and cut them and haul them away for you. Waste not, want not!
