We are a very responsible couple with a 20 month old son and two dogs. We are both professionals - Charley works in commercial remediation and marketing industries and Emma is preparing for July 2009 Oregon State Bar Examination. Our 20 month old is enrolled to start private school/toddler program in July 2 days a week and we plan come mid-fall he will be going 4 days a week while Emma works 4 days. We have two dogs. Emma is deaf and relies on cochlear implant to hear. Badger is her service dog and works for her when she has her implants off - alerts her to our son, doorbell, phone, etc. Jordan is Badgers companion dog for play, company when Badger is not working/Emma is not at home during the day. Both dogs are well trained - professionally, etc. come with cards, etc. Badger is going on 6 and Jordan is over 3 years. We want to rent a home in Lake Oswego for 12 month period, maybe more, until economy settles and Emma is working at least 1 year so that we can locate our purchase between school and both of our work locations. We have strong references, good rental history, etc. We take care of the home and are willing to do yardwork, small maintenance/upkeep, etc. We just want a place that we can change the environment (e.g., paint with your permission and preview of color, nothing extreme, but be able to hang some of our art work/photos and a place our son can grow in the next year). We want some yard space it is a must. The home must be in Lake Oswego, preferably toward downtown. Safety is a huge issue for us - no mold, lead issues in the home, well cared for, up-to-date, etc. is important to us. We want minimum 3 bedrooms, 4 if there is no bonus room or an office. I am looking to rent a room in either downtown Lake Oswego or Downtown Portland.A little about me:I am 28 years old, male, and employed. I am not in to partying and would like to find a nice quiet place to live that does not mind having the occasional get together (i.e. barbecue, dinner party, or movie night). I do enjoy a night out on the town every now and again. I love to cook, and am currently working on learning how to identify spices by smell and taste. I prefer to live in downtown Lake O or in Downtown Portland, but would consider other options if the chemistry is right.
