40 year old male; looking for a responsible, clean roommate, male or female. Clean, comfortable 3 bedroom, 1 bath house. I work nights, the ideal roommate would work days so wed each have the house to ourselves during non-work hours. Im gone from around 2pm until 2 am or so. House is freshly painted, new carpet, fenced back yard in a quiet neighborhood. Convenient location. I have a girlfriend that occasionally stays over for the weekend, and a 12 year old son that visits for weekends once every 3 months or so, or during holidays, but otherwise dont have a lot of coming and going. I spend probably every other weekend at her place out of town, so again theres plenty of personal time and space. Drinking, smoking ( outside ) okay as long as it stays under control and contained. Visits from boyfriends, girlfriends, children okay. I try to stay healthy & happy; Im socialable when I feel like it and like my time alone, too. I like to cook, I like to keep my place clean, and I could use some help with my mortgage payment with the right arrangement with the right person. This place may not look like it from the front but is huge inside. The neighborhood: We are located a block off of interstate at Shaver, conveniently behind the Alibi and Krakow Coffee house. I am a musician as well, but usually only play when noone is home or keep it way down if someone is. My roomate is Karen , she is 37 and works at OHSU with me as well, very laid back, easy to get along with. She works Thursday - Sunday , and is usually very active as well on her off days. We get along really well, both quirky and nerdy with good senses of humor. Home is our sanctuary, its typically very quiet, we both like to cook and have a few drinks at home together but this is by no means a party house. Not that either of us are against it, but when we tie one on we go out instead of gettin crazy at home. We keep the house clean, clean up after ourselves and dont do the chore wheel thing....just take care of your mess. As far as pets go, Karen has 4 birds that we keep in the family room. I think we are at capacity for pets right now, definately no cats as we are both allergic, dogs are a maybe as the yard is not enclosed so it would have to be inside all day. We can talk about it. We currently rent the house and Ive been left in charge of finding roomates after the homeowners moved out, so basically all the contact will be with me. The room for rent is is available right now. I dont have the specs on the room nor the house for that matter,but if you need to know that I can get measurements. Rent is $450 per month plus utlities, due on the first of the month. Deposit is one months rent and the landlords will let you pay it over the first month or so. Utilities cover gas, water, trash, comcast cable internet which we have set up through a wireless router. We also found recently that were getting cable tv for free through it too, so we got tv at no cost woohoo!!! Streetcar is a 5-10 minute walk, and there is a veritable smorgasbord of cafes/pubs/eateries nearby. Also an organic co-op, and 23rd if thats your scene. And a mini-mart that is a 10 second walk.Your room is on the smaller side of medium, with a closet and - if you want it - a large and important desk that will make almost anyone look legit.Me:26 year old, male, and currently in law school. I keep pretty odd hours, but live quietly despite it. Im not messy, but Im certainly disorganized. My fridge policy is pretty simple; unless its marked, or looks expensive/important, its fair game.A place this size with only two people wont have any dish problems, and Im clean anyways, so Id like somebody that is clean but not puritanical.Im an active person. Im from Colorado, and I love skiing. Basketball too, though Im not especially great at it. I read a lot, drink sometimes, and practice good hygiene. Looking for wordly, fun-loving 3rd roomie for July move-in We need to find a 3rd roomie to share our humble home near Lloyd Center. Move in on July 1st! Ours is a cozy 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom second story apartment in a really unique complex with a big and beautiful balcony that overlooks NE Weidler street. Loooooots of natural light. Really strategic location. 4 blocks to Fred Meyers. Walking distance to Lloyd center and \"free zone\" of the Max. On 3 bus lines. Super close to the I-84. Close to downtown. Right around the corner from some really nice cafes and restaurants. Move-in cost is somewhere in the ball park of $350 first, $408 last/security deposit. The only utilities we pay are electricity--- generally $15-35 per person per month depending on the outside temperature. Wireless internet, around $25 per person per month. We are on a lease through January, so ideally you would at least be --planning-- to stick around until then. About us: Lady number one: 28 years young, from Buffalo, NY via Perú. Fun-loving and very, very active. Loves soccer, running, hiking, biking, motorcycle riding, salsa dancing, boardgames, painting, travel!!!, gardening, photography, and cooking. Our ideal roomie would be someone who we could get along with in a similar fashion. Our apartment definitely feels like a home, not just a crash pad: its a comfortable, safe, and fun place, and we want someone to share it with, not just someone whos in it for cheap rent. Courtesy is super important to us, as is conscientiousness, trustworthiness and general tidiness. We drink every now and again, but ours is a 150% drug-free home. We tend to eat pretty stinking healthily... organic and whole foods whenever possible. We dont do collective food purchases in a general sense, but I think dietary preferences can tell you a lot about a person. A cat would be cool, but the size and location of our apartment really doesnt lend itself to dog-ownership. Also, FYI: The room is relatively small, perhaps 10 by 11, but has a lot of closet space. Itll fit a full bed but nothing too big and you have to be creative with the space.There is storage space downstairs and built in closets throughout the house.We have a parking spot for two cars, and there is more parking on the side streets.
