Looking for wordly, fun-loving 3rd roomie for July move-in We need to find a 3rd roomie to share our humble home near Lloyd Center. Move in on July 1st! Ours is a cozy 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom second story apartment in a really unique complex with a big and beautiful balcony that overlooks NE Weidler street. Loooooots of natural light. Really strategic location. 4 blocks to Fred Meyers. Walking distance to Lloyd center and \"free zone\" of the Max. On 3 bus lines. Super close to the I-84. Close to downtown. Right around the corner from some really nice cafes and restaurants. Move-in cost is somewhere in the ball park of $350 first, $408 last/security deposit. The only utilities we pay are electricity--- generally $15-35 per person per month depending on the outside temperature. Wireless internet, around $25 per person per month. We are on a lease through January, so ideally you would at least be --planning-- to stick around until then. About us: Lady number one: 28 years young, from Buffalo, NY via Perú. Fun-loving and very, very active. Loves soccer, running, hiking, biking, motorcycle riding, salsa dancing, boardgames, painting, travel!!!, gardening, photography, and cooking. We have a really good relationship with one another... We each have our own distinct circles of friends, but often hang out and talk around the house, go out for drinks, dancing, bowling or bike rides. Our ideal roomie would be someone who we could get along with in a similar fashion. Our apartment definitely feels like a home, not just a crash pad: its a comfortable, safe, and fun place, and we want someone to share it with, not just someone whos in it for cheap rent. Courtesy is super important to us, as is conscientiousness, trustworthiness and general tidiness. We drink every now and again, but ours is a 150% drug-free home. We tend to eat pretty stinking healthily... organic and whole foods whenever possible. We dont do collective food purchases in a general sense, but I think dietary preferences can tell you a lot about a person. A cat would be cool, but the size and location of our apartment really doesnt lend itself to dog-ownership. Also, FYI: The room is relatively small, perhaps 10 by 11, but has a lot of closet space. Itll fit a full bed but nothing too big and you have to be creative with the space.There is storage space downstairs and built in closets throughout the house.We have a parking spot for two cars, and there is more parking on the side streets. They are a great benefit of the house but please have the ability to be respectful of keeping these areas clean for everyone! Availability is July 10th. Current roommates include girl working full-time for a law firm downtown as a lawyer, one girl working at an athletic club and going to school at Portland State University and one girl starting her second year of medical school at OHSU in September. This house is a queer-friendly environment, no exceptions.The available bedroom is large with two fantastic closets and hardwood floors. A large bathroom is shared with one other person. The apartment is approx. 850 square feet, all hardwood floors, black & white tile in the bathroom and awesome vintage metal kitchen cabinets! It’s bright and sunny and has a great view overlooking the back end of the Rose City Golf Corse. Close to Trader Joes, a great breakfast & lunch place called the New Deal Café, within walking distance to two parks with dog areas, Alberta & Hollywood are both within close driving distance, Max is a ten minute walk and bus service is just a block away! Rent is $425 plus half of the utilities which run average of $45 when the gas heat has been turned off for summer. There is cable and high speed internet which the roommate pays for since I didn’t use either, so If interested you could pay half for that as well to have access to both. The room is on the smaller side but nicely fits a queen size bed with room to have a dresser or nightstand. Has a smallish/regular sized closet. My roommate has the larger of the two bedrooms but she is self contained with all her belongings and furniture, so although the room is small there is tons of extra space in the apartment to have a desk, sectional couch, living room furniture, work space in the living room or dining room area, which the dining room area has never been used to eat in! Lots of closet space and even a huge walk-in closet off the living room! I am the one moving out and I happen to have all of the furniture that furnishes the house, so if you have stuff to bring, there will be room, but if you happen to need furniture and would like it fully furnished, we can work something out. The apartment allows animals, cats and dogs, with only a few large dog breed restrictions. My roommate has no pets, I do but they are moving out with me so if you have animals, we would have would have to meet them first, but if you don’t have pets, that’s fine too!
