Description: This is a great studio piano. It has a practice felt strip that is lowered with a switch between the hammers and strings which produces a muffled sound for quiet practicing. Flip the switch in the other direction and the felt is raised so the hammers have direct contact with the strings for normal playing. I had some minor work done on it several years ago (a non-structural piece of wood was replaced and it was completely regulated). Needs a little regulation now and tuning but everything is in tact and I play it regularly. Nothing is broken. I admit Im biased toward the roaring sound of Smith, Holmes, Patterson, Young, DeFrancesco, Chester Thompson (early Tower of P.), etc. Unfortunately that tone only comes with a B3 or similar Hammonds with percussion added (B2s, CVs, BVs, etc.) & a decent Leslie.
