Basketball legend Michael Jordan of the U.S. steals the ball from Toni Kukoc of Croatia during the Gold Medal game at the Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain on August 8, 1992.It was the first time in the history of the Olympics where professional players from the NBA participated for the United States, in what became known as the ‘Dream Team’. Undefeated throughout the Olympics, team USA defeated Croatia 117-85 to capture the gold medal. Jordan led the way in the final with 22 points and Kukoc scored 16 for Croatia. Kukoc became one of the first great European stars to play in the NBA, beginning, ironically, with the Chicago Bulls. Alongside Jordan, they would win three NBA titles together.Jordan also won the gold medal in the 1984 Olympics. As a member of the Bulls, Jordan won six NBA championships and six Finals MVP awards. There are ten signed prints available individually numbered for $100 each. You get to personally select which of the ten prints you would like. The U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial in Rosslyn, Virginia is dedicated to all USMC personnel who have died in defense of the country. Located near Arlington National Cemetery, it was dedicated by President Dwight D. Eisenhower on November 10, 1954. Its design is based on the iconic photograph of Marines as they raised an American flag atop Mount Suribachi during the battle of Iwo Jima. President John F. Kennedy proclaimed in 1961 that the U.S. flag should fly 24 hours a day; one of the few sites where this is permitted. I produced this image during the Independence Day fireworks display over the National Mall. A ten-second exposure allowed for multiple bursts, high above the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument, which can be seen in the background. An uncharacteristic light breeze kept the flag steady.A bit about Photojournalist Gregg Newton... He has traveled to over 16 countries in over two decades of photography. From Award Winning Photographer, Gregg Newton, is this magnificent 11x14 printed signed image and signed letter of authenticity. There are ten signed prints available individually numbered for $100 each. You get to personally select which of the ten prints you would like. John H. Glenn Jr. was a four-term Senator from Ohio and Marine Corps fighter pilot. He was best known for being the first American to orbit the Earth aboard the Friendship 7 Mercury capsule on February 20, 1962. 36 years later, after serving 24 years in the U.S. Senate, Glenn returned to space aboard the space shuttle Discovery, as a payload specialist on mission STS-95. This award winning image, published in newspapers and magazines around the world, was made on October 29, 1988 from the Atlantic ocean at Cocoa Beach, as Glenn and the Discovery crew raced toward the stars. One of his tasks was to study the effects of space flight on the elderly, through a series of extensive medical tests throughout the duration of the nine-day mission. At the age of 77, Glenn became and remains the oldest astronaut ever to fly in space. A bit about Photojournalist Gregg Newton... The Summer Olympics of 1992 in Barcelona, Spain marked the first time where professional players from the NBA participated for the United States. The group became known as the Dream Team. Among the many NBA stars that played, two stood out among their peers; Earvin Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan. The two are seen here, enjoying a moment together during their 127-76 win in the semifinals over Lithuania on August 6, 1992. Two days later they would capture the gold medal after defeating Croatia. Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers.
