The case is an Older Thermaltake Other then that Everything is new 2 weeks old I've stress tested the build and its solid. It has a FX 6100 CPU 6 Core processor, 990FX Gigabite Motherboard w/ a Cooler master V8 CPU cooler with a red LED fan, 2 XFX HD 6870 video cards in crossfire setup running on an 880 watt power supply, new Asus CD/ DVD drive writes and reads w/ SATA 3 cable, 1 tarabite HD SATA 3 w/ SATA 3 cable, it also has 16 gigs of G Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600, I will be including a Razer Naga molten core 17 button MMO gaming mouse w/ red led, a Razer Goliathus med. size mouse mat, a Microsoft Sidewinder x6 gaming keyboard w/ back-lit red led, some Turtlebeach Earforce X12 gaming headset, and a 20" HP Flatscreen Monitor, I also have a walmart set of computer speakers there not great but they work when not using headset. I have an IBook computer....early edition.....running Mac OS 10.2(can't be upgraded...or I'd keep it)
It has a built-in CD drive and new power plug(no battery). Perfect color screen and keyboard. Airport Card built-in.
Ok...that's the good news.......the bad news is that this machine is not supported by Apple anymore.
They consider it over the hill. They are probably correct. It's a low memory machine that struggles with the new internet world.
It struggles...due to low memory and it's ancient operating system....with the wonderfully artistic websites we see most everyday online.
So what it Does do well...is word processing (has Word on the hard drive)....and you can run software on the CD drive.
But if you need great internet access......this is NOT your machine. Just need basic word processing?.......it would be a wonderful machine for you.
