We are pleased to be selling a spectacular vintage 1966 Men's Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust watch in 18 carat gold and stainless steel. This Rolex is a model 1601 and was manufactured prior to the introduction of the date quick set feature. This Rolex is a full size, 36mm, man's watch with a brand new crystal. The watch has just been fully serviced by an authorized Rolex dealer ($500 value!). A recent appraisal from Hart's Jewelers, shown in the photos, is also included that shows the replacement value of this watch at $8,950! The head is all original, including the 1570 automatic 26 jewel movement. The band is a brand new aftermarket Jubilee style replacement. I had an appraisal done in 2009 for insurance reasons and it reads as follows, gold was less expensive back then and the value came back at $4443.00. The ring is 14KT white gold with a .51 carat (H/VS1 RBC) round center stone. There are two marquise shaped diamonds on each side (total of four) at .10 carats each (H-I/VS2-SI1).
