I am a UO student that is going to be abroad in Argentina and needs someone to take over my rent/space in this amazing house between September 1st and the end of December.The home is a 3 story(plus basement), 10 bedroom, 6 bathroom cooperative that currently has 6 people residing. It is well maintained, beautiful ,and bursting with gardens, color and light. Close to Sundance Foods, busline to LCC, UO campus and somewhat near amazon park.Some highlights:-It is a vegetarian household, and food is bought collectively out of one big food budget. What this means is that you pay a food stipend(160 a month) and you put whatever you want on a list, which is bought at a local cooperative market. Anything else that you want to buy you can buy on your own, keep the receipts, and get monthly reimbursements for everything youve spent. I have found that this actually works out to being much cheaper than buying all my own food all the time.-We do not have a television-We have a hot tub and a sauna in our big beautiful back yard.-Solar panels on the roof.-Rainwater collection facility-Big bike area with a house bike that can be borrowed-2 blocks from bus line to LCC/UO-One nice cat, no other pets allowed.-Rent can go two ways. It can be $650, which includes: Utilities, Food, Hi-Speed wireless internet access, utilities, electricity, everything. One base fee and everything is dealt with(this works out fantastically).-OR you can pay just the room/utilities/etc and not the communal food budget, which makes the room $495 a month and means you would be responsible for buying your own food.-Household responsibilities include some chores that must be done weekly and cooking dinner 1 night a week if you are sharing food budget.-Room is on the 3rd floor of the house(the top floor) and has two big skylights, a smaller skylight and a fire escape. Hardwood floors. It is currently furnished with a bed, desk, bookshelf and dresser. Dresser, bed and closet would be available for use by tenant. I will be moving my clothing into storage so that the tenant can use these spaces, but the furniture will probably need to stay in the room.What I am looking for:You must be clean, drug free and smoke free, ecologically conscious, vegetarian, responsible. You must have a steady job/source of income. Experience living in cooperative living and experience with consensus decision making is a big bonus. Do you need a FULLY FURNISHED (with linens, dishes, utilities, cable, and high speed internet provided) luxury home to house several people in Eugene for 1-3 weeks in July? We have a very nice furnished 3 bedroom/2 bathroom SW Eugene hills house which will be available for rent from about July 4-26 or a portion of that time (minimum one week please, will prorate additional days). $475 a week is much less than youd pay for a hotel, and you can prepare your own meals and have space for you and your family or friends to relax. I will include \"starter\" items for your first few breakfasts (cereals, coffee, tea, juice).Linens, towels, dishes, pots and pans, etc, and all the furniture you need, are all here. There is a double garage with a remote control, an inside washer and dryer, private master suite with its own bathroom; skylights, deck, gazebo, high speed internet, cable TV. There are 4 beds: one queen, two twins, and one double bed. The upstairs master suite has both the queen and one twin, and the other beds are in the two downstairs bedrooms.Utilities and garbage service are included too. I come do the yardwork, and there is a timed drip irrigation system on the landscaping. Security deposit of $ 600 is fully refundable (no hidden fees) if the place is returned intact and reasonably clean.No smoking inside but if you must smoke, there is a gazebo on the back deck where you can sit outside yet be covered from possible Oregon sunshine.We do ask for your references, and run a criminal background check to protect our property (we do not want any drug use or manufacturing on the premises)! The back yard is partially fenced (open to neighbors fenced yard on one side) and there is a separate enclosed dog run at the west side of the house. We have no problem with well-behaved, housetrained pets inside the home, as long as they have good references too.Very nice, quiet neighborhood, owner-occupied upscale homes, tall trees, deer, wild turkeys! This home is 4 miles from the University of Oregon, in Eugenes South Hills. One bedroom apartment just a few blocks from campus. Pretty decent sized living room with attached kitchen. Large bedroom, private bathroom with shower but no tub. Lots of storage and with off street parking. Lease runs through June 15th but can easily be extended as current tenant gets first dibs. There are very few places this close to campus for this cheap that also allows pets! Immediate move-in available as soon as new tenant is approved by rental agency. Deposit is 200 dollars and any rent for the month of January will be pro-rated based on move-in date. There is also an additional pet deposit, but that would have to be worked out with the propety manager.
