1970s Kay Les Paul copy. ($295) Its look is very close to that of a second run late 70s Gibson Les Paul Recording. New nut, new vintage style strap locks and new DAddario .10s. Freshly set up and intonated. The frets have been hand polished and it plays great. Factory built in 9v powered active effects (whirlwind, echo, fuzz, wah) all work. Up for sale is a Fostex R-8 reel to reel. It has 8 tracks, and takes 1/4\" tape. This machine has served me well over the past 5 years, but my home recording days are done, so it has to go. Works great, I have used it as both a primary recording device and to mix down to. It is GREAT for making recordings in a remote setting when you dont want to haul the digital setup. I have done several recordings on the 8-track which I then mixed and processed later digitally. The benefit is that you get natural tape compression, and a much warmer sound. The unit is in great shape, however, the input for track 1 has a short in it. I worked around this by bouncing drums to track 1, but someone with 15 minutes and a soldering iron could fix it.Comes with a full box of 1/4\" tapes - maybe worth the price alone, as they are no longer made. At least 40 tapes here. All are high-bias, most have some previous recording on them. They could be bulk erased or simply reused.Also comes with two recording snakes - valued at about $40 each new. One is RCA to 1/4\", the other is 1/4\" to 1/4\".The price is firm. The R-8s go for 150-200 alone on ebay, without tapes or snakes. I have this bass amp. Works great except for some of the EQ sliders have broken knobs. I usually just use the bass, treble, mid controls anyways and bypass the eq. 1x15 Ampeg Classic cab works great too. $300, or trade for a Gretsch guitar or Gretsch drums.
