I have a 1926 model T project car. It started out as a 4 door sedan, but has been cut down to a 2 door tub which has 2 functioning doors. Its sitting on a model T truck frame, 36 ford car straight axle with buggy spring suspension, no rear end, and has a cushman pick up box. It also has the original 2 piece split windsheild frame(complete minus glass). All the sheet metal seems to be fairly straight and solid. Small block 400 +.03, 4 bolt main, , Keith Black pistons, new scat crank, 280/480 Comp Cam and lifter. This engine has been disassembled, had a spun rod bearing, has been tanked, cylinders honed, and is ready for reassembly. I replaced one piston and rod and it was balanced to match the others. All the other rods were checked by the machine shop and were ok. The crank is back in the block and the mains have been torqued. All the rod bearings, gaskets, new oil pump, soft plugs, and everything to reassemble are there. The engine comes with tall aluminum valver covers, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold and the headers that were on the Elkie. Also has 400 balancer and a flexplate. I was told when I bought the Elkie that this thing put out 500 hp but I have no way of verifying that. Might have been a little exagerated but a great sales pitch. I also have a Edelbrock 1406 in excellent condition that I would let go with the engine for an additional $100, but only as a package deal. I was rebuilding the engine to go back in the Elkie but have decided to go with a 396 or 402, so would consider trade for either of equal quality and value, or could go up or down depending on what you have.
