Bootstrap Farm is a small scale all natural and sustainable vegetable farm in Bixby, OK. We are looking for seasonal workers to do farm chores such as: weeding by hand and with hoes, thinning, transplanting, and harvesting. Other chores may be included depending on ability and aptitude. We need three qualities from our employees:1. Dependable/ Trustworthy2. Ability to follow spoken instructions every time3. Consistent attention to detailFarm work is hot, sticky, and dirty in Oklahoma. Our rows are 300 and may seem discouraging at times but you must have the wherewithal to finish the row every time. A cell phone is a major plus because we need to communicate over long distances. This is a part time position and we are not making commitments about how many days a week, but wildly guessing it should be about 3-4. There may be times when we will ask you to work more than 8 hrs but it will not be the norm and we will not send you home early except for inclement weather. It would be wonderful if you have an interest in sustainable agriculture but is definitely not required.
