What a kickin amp! This Amp has been and will continue to be a monster. Crest Audio is known world wide as one of the top power amp manufacturers around. They are up there with Crown, QSC, Yamaha, etc. This is a CA9. 450w per side @8ohms, 900w@4ohms, 2000w@4ohms bridged mono. 1/4\" and XLR ins and banana outs. I used this amp for 3 years as a power source for my left sub cabinet in our setup at church. It was powering a Turbosound THL-828 dual 18\" box and sounded freakin awesome. This amp seems to have some sort of built in compression on the low end making it perfect for subs in high power applications. I once ran this amp for 5 hours strait for a late night rock concert and it never even got warm at 110db in a 700 seat room! The church has upgraded to powered subs and they let me keep this. I dont need it. Well, every good story has a sad part right? Luckily the sad part of this story isnt too bad. The switch on the back of the amp that controls the mode - stereo, parallel, or bridged mono, is broken off. It is an easy fix for someone who has the time and experience with a soldering iron. It is stuck in bridged mono mode right now. Here is the good part. It is a 2000 watt amp with exceptional low end response, therefore, what else would you do with it other than use it as a sub amp running in bridged mono mode? It works perfectly in bridged mode. If you desire to have the switch professionally serviced however, it will probably cost you about $100 to $125 dollars. A whole new amp costs $1400 so spending $125 fixing it putting you at $825 total sounds like a good deal to me. I am negotiable on my price. LOCAL CASH ONLY DEAL!
