Aloha, We're getting ready to sell our 1997 Infinity QX4 which we thought was a gonner and ended up buying another car. Then the mechanic found the problem was simply a clogged vacuum line which he's repairing. We then decided to go ahead and have him do all the major stuff, too, for someone interested in a great car with all the "big" maintenance done. Mileage is at around 154,000 and the timing belt/water pump have just been replaced this week, along with the radiator, hoses, belts, and charcoal cannister. Tires are about six months old and the brakes were done within the same time period. Air Conditioner needs a new compressor according to the mechanic and we would sell the car withou the air for $4,200 or $4,900 with a new compressor. Here are the specs for this great SUV: • All leather seats, power windows, locks, moonroof. • Automatic transmission with real 4WD (separate shift for the 4-wheel drive to engage 4-high and 4-low) --- Car has never been off-road although it's got some major torque in 4-low! • Radio/CD player Car should be ready for inspection/test drive next week but I am wanting to get started selling it so we can remove it from our auto insurance policy.
