Kauai Surf Inter-Island Resorts Kalapaki Beach, HI This nice tiki shield was found on a circa 1960s matchbook cover for the Kauai Surf Hotel. Located on Kalapaki Beach, the Kauai Surf Hotel was the very first hotel on Kauai. It opened in the late 1950s and consisted of 100 acres of resort with water sports and golf. This hotel was part of the Inter-Island Resort chain, which had 3 hotels on different islands. Kalapaki Beach and the Kauai Surf became famous for their group of beach boys who kept the traditional aspects of surfing going strong. This is a high quality 11"x14" print of these wonderful vintage graphics, printed on thick watercolor bristol paper. Each image has been restored to remove any damage or wear, but still shows the vintage quality of printing, which makes these images so unique. Each print also has a protective coating applied to prevent any fading throughout the years. Also included is a small card with the info and history of this image.
