I am a semi-retired professional, looking for interesting home exchanges all around the world. I'm interested in a swap this fall 2009 or any time in 2010. I have done exchanges in Europe and in the US. I'm lookng for exchanges in London, Paris, Venice, Sydney, Provence, Tuscany, etc., or somewhere interesting in the USA - Nantucket, Seattle, Santa Fe? Your town? I prefer a large city or small village where I can walk or bike to restaurants and shops. I'm interested in exchanging with someone like myself who is either semi-retired, or a writer or artist, who can exchange for 3-8+ weeks, depending on the location. I'm open to offers. My home is a lovely open 2 level, with 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, within a 5 minute walk from the West Falls Church Metro stop on Washington DC's Orange Line. A quick subway ride will take you to the free Smithsonian museums, to art galleries, DC theatres, parks, great restaurants, the DC Zoo, etc - all that the DC area has to offer. From my home you can also walk to Starbucks, to a number of restaurants (Indian, Thai, Afghan, Italian,...), to a grocery store, a pharmacy, etc. The subway will take you to National Airport, or there is a shuttle from West Falls Church metro to Dulles Airport.
