The individual will be working with both Domestic and European vendors. | I have client that is looking for a very Sr. Project Manager to manage a long term engagement in Reno. Candidates must meet that following qualifications: 1) Customer focused – Understands the value and need for customer feedback. Experience with communicating with customers and appropriate levels of information sharing.2) Project management – Able to create, build, and managed a detailed project plan. Define milestones and ensure people stay on plan and deliver quality. Need details for milestones, not just goals. Need someone with lots of experience in asking the right questions that result in a detailed plan.3) Escalation management – Understands how to prioritize escalations, identify trends, and manage issues in an organized and informative manner.4) Cross Group Collaboration – Able to work with multiple teams and gather/share information as needed. Able to drive large groups to consensus.5) Presentation preparation – Able to prepare professional presentations for upper management and customers.6) Data analysis – Experience with analyzing data from multiple customers to identify trends and drive solutions.7) Able to work unsupervised – Need someone that can hit the ground running and only have a have limited direction throughout the week and project.8) Communication plan – Able to build and drive an excellent communication plan, including identification of what, how, when, and whom we shall communicate.9) Have a PMP or is currently pursuing PMP.10) OEM experience is helpful but not required.Any out of state candidates must relo at their own expense as I do not have relo assistance on this contract. We are seeking someone to assist our lobbyist in monitoring and reviewing legislation during the 120 day legislative session beginning February 2, 2009 in Carson City. Position may include sometime in late January and conclude shortly after the legislative session ends in June. Duties would include monitoring schedules of legislative hearings, assisting with the preparation of weekly newsletters and attending and reporting on specific legislative hearings as directed. Position requires exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to think on your feet and work without constant supervision. Would involve learning how amendments are prepared, include the opportunity to assist in researching for testimony and how to review and identify the impact of specific bills on industries and employers. This opportunity would be ideal for someone with a background or interest in government affairs or political science. You will be working for a trade association which has maintained a presence in the Nevada state legislature for over 50 years. Issues we follow include labor, employment and workers compensation laws, environmental issues and funding for the infrastructure that are needed to meet Nevada’s continued growth. This position is ideal for a student attending graduate school or one returning to the workforce.
