Performs all duties necessary for executing a coin and BV count, including use of coin-wrapping machines, currency sorters and computer interface software systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned). Hard Count Duties:- At the beginning of the shift, meets other Siena hard count members at the Employee Window (Cage) to get keys assigned.- Gets the three carts needed to swap out slot drop cans from hard count room. Places the carts in the appropriate areas of the casino along with Security Officer.- Unlocks cart and places each can on a slot chair.- At the time of the scheduled drop, begins to pull slot drop cans from slot machines and replaces with empty cans. Continues this process until entire slot floor has been changed out.- Once the cart is filled, the cart is placed in the soft count room, after which the process is continued with the second and third carts.- Once the drop is completed, the count begins in the soft count room at the scheduled time with soft count team members present.- All cans are opened, and contents are “bundled” and placed in a box.- A count team member processes the bundle through a currency counter which separates tickets and cash.- Tickets are “faced” and ten keyed. Tickets are placed in bags and placed with drop information for that day and given to the Revenue Audit Department.- Currency is taken to another currency counter which separates the denominations. - Currency is bundled and given to the Cage for further processing.- Hard count team members also roll and bag coin for the Bank twice a week.- Hard count team members perform soft count duties on non-drop days. Soft Count Duties:- Meets with Siena soft count members at Employee Window (Cage) to get keys assigned.- Picks up retail bank money (monies from restaurants, spa, hotel, bars, gift shop, special events, etc.) from Cage and places it into Hard Count Room.- Picks cart with pit cans up in Hard Count Room and places into Soft Count Room.- At the scheduled time, the poker can is removed from the cart and chips are counted, amount is entered into the computer and the chips are given to the Cage.- Each pit can is then removed from the cart and accounted for per shift and per game. Each count team member is responsible for a separate duty, (1) manual paperwork, (2) opening, closing and resetting of cans, and (3) running currency, inputting the correct table and shift into the currency counter.- When all three shifts are completed, the Cage performs the blind count on all currency and verifies that the amounts are the same.- The cart with the pit cans is returned to the Hard Count Room, and retail banks are brought into the Soft Count Room.- Two Count Team members count each retail bank and run a tape. A third Count Team member keys the appropriate information into the currency counter while the money is being run through.- Once completed, the currency is taken to another currency counter which separates it by denomination. Currency is then bundled, counted, and given to the Cage. Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
