| EDUCATION: High School or equivalent required, Bachelors degree in Engineering, (Mechanical, Electrical or Construction Management) or equivalent technical training is required. A combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.RESPONSIBILITIES: Day-to-day responsibility of administrative, financial and operating aspects of the building and property as they relate to operations of preventative and repair maintenance and testing of equipment, buildings, and grounds. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:• Assist in creation and adherence of annual department budgets.• Responsible for total maintenance and smooth functioning of the company facilities. Includes oversight of all buildings and grounds, including the proper functioning of equipment within the facilities.• Develop, monitor, and enforce the department’s policies, processes, and procedures. • Develop, schedule and control maintenance programs that insure the facility will function and operate as designed. • Develop and monitor scheduled maintenance programs for all (non gaming) operational equipment.• Develop and monitor regularly scheduled inspections of the property to insure all maintenance repairs and upkeep are performed as not to allow the property to degrade or become non-compliant with any building code that may affect the safety or security of any guest or employee.• Responsible for the recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision and performance of the department’s personnel. • Schedule labor force and assign work for efficient use of equipment and personnel• Create training programs for all personnel to insure the safe and effective method of operating all equipment• Oversee purchase and maintenance of equipment, offices furnishings, and building systems. Contracting with and overseeing vendors who provide services.• Oversight and maintenance of elevators, and utilities such as electric, water, and sewer, with strategies for continuous improvement in these areas. • Oversight of pools, pool equipment, spas and equipment, water features and related areas. • Oversee all new construction and repair projects on the property. • Ensure compliance with all regulatory rules, regulations and laws associated with the building and property, ADA, OSHA regulations and building codes. • Solicits and collects Contractor, Subcontractor or Vendor bids and quotations for all work associated with any new work or maintenance of the facility.OTHER JOB DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited, to the following: • Must be dependable, consistent, diligent, and thorough. Creative and resourceful in completing tasks accurately in a compressed timeframe • Maintains communication with all other department heads to gather information related to property needs.• Good written and oral communication and team skills.• Represents the company with a positive attitude internally and externally.• Participates fully as a team member, completing all requirements assigned in a timely manner.• Treat employees, clients, vendors with courtesy and respect.• Act in a professional manner at all times to maintain a harmonious work environment.• Adheres to and supports all Safety requirements. • Be available or on call for emergencies at all times. • Additional duties may be assigned by supervisor.SKILLS: Thorough working knowledge of large central plant mechanical systems, electrical and plumbing systems in large resort or multiuse facilities Intermediate knowledge of Windows/Excel/Outlook CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Valid driver’s license Location: Las Vegas - Strip Property-Hotel/Casino Compensation: DOEPrincipals only.
