Requirements:ˇ H.S. Diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree in business is preferred), plus 5 years related experience in payroll (including benefits and 401k), administrative, and accounting functions, including Accounts Payable. Candidate must have solid work history and furnish 3 professional references. ˇ Must type minimum 55wpm, 10-key by touch. ˇ Experience with Paychex is highly preferred, however candidate will be considered with at least 5 years experience processing payroll and administering benefits. Experience with union payroll is a plus. ˇ At least 3 years experience with accounting software is essential, and must be able to display a general understanding of accounting practices. Must have at least 2 years experience with Accounts Payable. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. ˇ Candidate should have working knowledge of labor laws and experience in dealing with sensitive HR issues. ˇ Other highly desired aptitudes include customer service skills, a positive attitude, and excellent attendance record. Must display the ability to quickly learn new key business principles and produce high quality work. ˇ Exceptional attention to detail is of the utmost importance. ˇ Ability to successfully pass drug test and background check.
