We are a small tax business that offers bookkeeping, payroll and tax preparation services. We are looking to expand and need a new bookkeeper. Must have at least 5 years bookkeeping experience and an in-depth knowledge of QuickBooks. QuickBooks certification is preferred; but not required, depending on experience. Accounting degree or Enrolled Agent designation is a plus. A firm grasp on accounting principles and a basic understanding of tax is required.Duties will include providing bookkeeping services to our clients. Many of our new clients come to us with their books in disarray. For this reason experience and knowledge relating to correcting books is required. We also offer payrolls services to our client so a solid understanding of payroll is required. This includes federal and state payroll taxes, payroll tax returns and EFTPS.We are looking for an independent and self-motivated professional who will complement our team.
