Recruiters dont want to kill rich kids in a rich mans war, they want to send POOR KIDS TO THEIR DEATH in a rich mans war! War, combat, and your contract. First off, if it’s your first time enlisting, you’re signing up for eight years. On top of that, the military can, without your consent, extend active-duty obligations during times of conflict, “national emergency,” or when directed by the president. This means that even if an enlistee has two weeks left on his/ her contract (yes, even Guard/Reserve) or has already served in combat, she/he can still be sent to war. There is no such thing as a \"PART-TIME WAR!\" YOULL RISK YOUR LIFE AND END UP WITH NOTHING! The military won’t make you financially secure. Military members are no strangers to financial strain: 48 percent report having financial difficulty, approximately 33 percent of homeless men in the United States are veterans, and nearly 200,000 veterans are homeless on any given night. MILITARY LIES ABOUT COLLEGE MONEY!!!!! If you expect the military to pay for college, BETTER READ THE FINE PRINT! Among recruits who sign up for the Montgomery GI Bill, 65 percent receive NO money for college, and only 15 percent ever receive a college degree. The maximum Montgomery GI Bill benefit is $37,224, and even this 37K is hard to get: To join, you must first put in a nonrefundable $1,200 deposit that has to be paid to the military during the first year of service. To receive the $37K, you must also be an active-duty member who has completed at least a three-year service agreement and is attending a four-year college full time. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education, Training, and Work Experience Graduation from high school, trade school or vocational school supplemented by course work in electronics, plus four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical field, with at least two (2) years of experience directly related to fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of electronic equipment, OR and equivalent combination of closely related training and experience. A working knowledge of PLC systems and programming is required. A strong background troubleshooting process instrumentation and control systems are required. Knowledge and training in electrical safety is required. A strong aptitude for math is also required. Experience with water and wastewater supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems is preferred. Experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment in water and wastewater treatment and pumping facilities is preferred.Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certificates Possession of or the ability to obtain an appropriate driver’s license from state of residence and maintain an excellent driving record. Must obtain a Journeyman level electrical certificate within six (6) months of the date of employment and maintenance of certification at own expense as a condition of continued employment. All required licenses and certificates, as mandated by local, state, and federal laws, or as required herein, must be obtained and maintained at the incumbent’s expense. The Nevada Army National Guard is looking for NEW leaders to lead its units!!!If you are between the ages of 18 to 30 with a minimum of 60+ college credits, you could be eligible to become part of our OCS (Officer Candidate School) enlistment option. What that means is that you will go through basic training(9 weeks) just like any other soldier, but upon completion, you will then go to Officer Candidate School. Once you complete that, you will commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in one of our units here in Las Vegas or Henderson. At that time you will only be obligated to do one weekend a month and two weeks each summer with your unit. You also have the option to apply for a full time position in the Nevada Guard.
