1984 Dodge Power Ram 50, which is the exact same thing as a Mitsubishi Mighty Max except for the nameplates. I just recently took the engine out of a 1987 and swapped it in. It has about 124,000 miles on it, and runs pretty strong. It is a 5-speed manual transmission, and the 4WD works well. It has the auto hubs, which were shift on the fly. It has a decent body, fair interior, cap on the rear with rear sliding window (great for dogs!). Engine is the 2.6L 4 cylinder which was the largest engine in a mini truck at the time, so is strong, and it is sound. I recentlty swapped the alternator, the power steering pump, the fuel pump and the fuel filter. It still has a few things that a mechanical person could iron out, but none are vital. Small exhaust leaks make it a little louder than normal (sounds like someone put a fast and furious style muffler on it!), I had to install a remote start switch because something in crossing the years would not make the starter turn, but now turn on the key and push a button and it fires right up. First weekend I got done swapping engines I took it on a road trip of 500 miles in three days around CO, and it made it with flying colors. It is very dependable as is, and if someone is a bit anal, these other little items can be fixed. Most of the parts were used on the dodge raider, mitsu montero, and dodge rampage and plymouth arrow trucks, etc, at the time, as well as several other mitsu products, so parts a reactually very easy to come across.
