This bike runs great and has very strong compression. The paint job has a couple of dings in it, but nothing that major. I believe the bike has broken piston rod. Seriously for this price if you are halfway decent with a wrech you could buy a whole new motor and still come out ahead! I paid $5800 for the bike brand new in 2004, and put $1000 worth of upgrades including complete RACETECH suspension. If you have some experiance working on bikes you could very easly end up with an awesome machine for about $2,000 bucks. These are the real pictures! Well I just hate to let go of the General, but here she is fellas. I bought this bike brand new in 2004 and paid $5480 and put another $1200 into it. The bike has around 50 hours on it and has not been raced, as you can see it is super clean. Bike has pro-taper bars, complete race tech suspension ie; valves, springs, resivior,$800 value and I have all documentation to prove it. I just put on new rear plastic, new throttle cable, new compression release, and I will throw in a new sand paddle rear tire. Only one problem the last ride I was on bike quite on me....not sure what it is but for this price if you are good with a wrench you will still come out ahead of the game, I dont have the time or expertise to work on it myselfe..... This is an 04 yamaha yfz 450 biult for desert racing in the pro class. It would cost around 20 thoasand to biuld this quad from stock. I also have the oversize desert tank with a quick fill, it is not on the bike but can be included if you are interested along with the stock tank on the bike. The frame has been gusseted for max strength and powdercoated candy apple red. Roll Design a-arms, swingarm, steering stem, foot pegs and heel guards, along with Elka elite quad rate shocks long travel with long travel linkage in the rear. Check out Elka and Roll Designs Web sites and you can see that these parts alone add up to close to what im asking for the whole bike. The motor is an 07 motor with oil mod for longer motor life, hot cams and forged 13:1 compression piston the whole motor was biult for this season and is very fresh and is fed by a k&n pro flow kit and freed up with a full Duncan fat boy 4 exhaust. It has a dominator axle (lifetime warranty) and the bike is +3 in wider then stock so you dont worry about flipping over as easily. It has a GPR steering stabilizer so the bars dont get ripped out of your hands and beadlock rims with razr 2 tires so you can go anywhere without bending a rim or getting a flat. It also has full skid plates to protect your motor, sprocket, rotor etc and PRM bumper and grab bar. This bike is a real joy to ride and it saves your back since you really dont feel the bumps and it makes up for your mistakes as it is long travel. I am selling because I have four of these bikes and I really only need two so I have two listed.
