Our location in Santa Fe seeks a Senior Accountant. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be required to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties/functions. 1. B.A. or B.S. in Accounting required. 2. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience required. 3. Knowledge and experience working with a variety of data processing software, as well as design and use of computer reports, word-processing (MS Word 2007) and spreadsheets (MS Excel) required. 4. Minimum 3 years experience in a non-profit environment or public accounting experience dealing with non-profit organizations; or any combination preferred. 5. Knowledge of requirements and regulations of Medicare/Medicaid and other governmental agencies required. 6. Must be able to work flexible hours as necessary. Regular attendance is a requirement of the position. 7. Current drug screen with negative results. 8. Must pass CCHSP clearance. The Senior Accountant is responsible for the supervision and control of the general accounting functions. This includes general ledger, payable, receivable, payroll, property, budget reporting and statistical accumulation. The Chief Accountant is also responsible for financial statement and report preparation on a regular and special request basis; assisting the Chief Financial Officer with annual budget preparation; reviewing entries to the general and statistical ledgers to assure accuracy; and assisting in recruitment of personnel. Requirments Include: *Valid New Mexico Drivers License *3 Years Driving Experience (Driving records will be checked) *High School Diploma or GED (State Requirement) *Negative TB Test Results (SMEM will provide test) *Negative Drug Screening *Ability to communicate in English clearly and accurately *Experience in direct care or care taking preferred but not required.
