I am selling a brand new Colorado saddle that was used one time for a 2-3 mile trail ride. It is a beautiful saddle, black in color with reddish tie straps, beefy saddle horn with a nice deep seat. Included are the breast strap and head stall to match. They are all new. The breast strap part that goes between the front legs and attaches to the cinch was chewed the first day I brought the saddle home by the new puppy. Buddy is a 26 yr old Morgan/QH cross. He stands approx 15.2 hands and weighs about 1000 lbs. Has been used in the mountains his whole life and has no spook in him. My wife has used him as a confidence builder and is now ready to move on to a younger horse. He is very mellow and loves attention, my 9 yr old nephew rides him with no problems, just an all around great horse with excellent manners. He has a floating trot that does wonders for the beginner rider who still has a hard time finding their seat in the saddle. I would prefer to see him go to a kid or small adult since he is 26 and has put in his time. I am looking at a free gelding in Forsyth that needs a ride to Missoula or Stevensville. The gal with the gelding comes to Laurel every Tuesday, so could pick up there as well. He began his life on a ranch in Winnett and later became a rodeo queens horse in Idaho. He was hauled around to rodeos and did alot of arena work carrying flags and other duties. Most recently he has been used as a trail horse and for working cattle. He has worked along with dogs and has lived amongst all kinds of ranch critters. I was going to begin team roping off of him but my sister and her family decided for personal reasons to find him a good home where he will be used as well.I have ridden this horse for the past year and I really like him. He has a great ground covering walk and his trot and lope are super smooth. He has that awesome Zan Parr Bar movement. Banjo has alot of gas left in his tank and could easily be used for arena work and 4-H but has mind enough to be a terrific trail or ranch horse as well. I have ridden him for more than 20 miles through rough terrain in one day easily. He is an easy keeper and has never been ill or ran up a vet bill. This horse is guaranteed sound. I am a farrier and work on his feet without him being tied to anything or anybody holding him. He loads, saddles, and gets the job done without resistance. Banjo is not the most social horse and is not the first horse in the pen to want to be caught some days.
