ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Develops and implements innovative and effective programs, promotions and marketing campaigns aimed at increasing people’s transportation options in Missoula. Develops, administers and markets transportation demand management programs at employer sites throughout Missoula. Participates in Missoula In Motion marketing efforts including preparing newsletter, written materials, advertising, and public outreach materials. Coordinates website development and outreach. Conducts program evaluations through surveys, focus groups and other means to solicit feedback on ways to improve Missoula’s transportation demand management outreach efforts. Researches transportation demand management programs in other communities and identifies components of their systems that could be utilized in Missoula. Participates with committees and organizations associated with transportation and transportation demand management issues. Maintains current knowledge of/provides information regarding transportation demand management issues. Promotes transportation options to targeted populations in Missoula. OTHER DUTIES: Performs related work as required or directed.PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: The work requires ability to travel to meetings and visit various worksites in Missoula area. Work schedule may be flexible with meetings before and after normal business hours.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Requires three years experience in field such as education, marketing, public outreach, community organizing, business development, behavioral science, project planning, grant writing, or fund raising. Requires excellent written and oral communications skills and demonstrated organizational skills. Experience desired researching and writing, organizing events and people, working with the public to change social behaviors, or working with transportation demand management strategies. Provides assistance in completing and filing Temporary Orders of Protection (TOP), Victim Impact Statements, other documents. Provides support to victims during investigations. Keeps victim informed of progress of case. May attend legal proceedings and hearings with victims. Explains Crime Victims’ Compensation Program and assists in completing applications for reimbursement. Completes quarterly reports. Provides training on CVA Program and issues of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. Promotes visibility and accessibility of position. Conducts outreach and training to rural communities and other underserved populations. Develops and implements media campaigns, writes newspaper articles and PSAs, contributes information for grant reporting and proposals. OTHER DUTIES: Performs related work as required or directed. PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Work primarily performed in office setting but involves frequent trips to city and county offices. May require trips to rural areas of Missoula and Mineral Counties. Work involves crisis counseling with people who have experienced violence creating potential for significant emotional stress for employee and possible exposure to violent incidents.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Requires Bachelors degree in Social Work or closely related field. Requires two years experience in social service field involving community organizing, advocacy and crisis intervention related to intimate partner violence, sexual assault or other areas of victimization, (ex. rape, assault, child abuse). Completion of specialized advocacy training, (e.g. YWCA or Crime Victim Advocate training) desirable. Experience or training in Montanas criminal justice system desirable. Reviews commercial, industrial and residential construction plans for conformance with building codes. Performs building inspections to ensure adherence to plans, and compliance with all plumbing, mechanical and electrical building codes for residential, commercial and industrial buildings. May perform building inspection in specialty areas for any construction in the jurisdiction area. Investigates complaints of building code violations; writes correction notices and orders, and explains corrective measures needed. May be required to testify in court regarding code violations.
