We find ourselves unexpectedly expecting, so needless to say we have a few changes to make in preparation for first child. We are clearing out the antique furniture from our spare bedroom to make way for a nursery. We are selling an antique fold-out table that we inherited from an older family friend. This piece is SOLID and built to last forever. It has some scuff marks and needs to be dusted and wiped down, but is otherwise in excellent condition. I cant give you any real specifics on this piece such as age, make, and type of wood, but I can try to answer any questions you may have. We were using this table in its folded down position to hold our series of Harry Potter books and it fit nicely and compactly in our spare bedroom, but you can fold out the sides and actually use it for a smaller dining room table. We were surprised to discover we had a child on the way, so needless to say, we have to make a few adjustments in preparation. We decided to sell the antique bedroom set we had in our spare bedroom to make way for a nursery. All of these items are in GREAT condition, especially considering their age. I am sad to say I know very little about these items so I cant give a lot of specifics such as age and type of wood, but I do know they are SOLID pieces built to last, none of which are the slightest bit wobbly or loose.I also know they were given to my husbands parents as a wedding gift by her parents back in the early 60s, and we inherited them from my husbands mom. There is a logo from the original manufacturer - \"Park: Authentic American Reproductions\". Dont let the \"reproduction\" part fool you though. After talking with a family friend who owns an antique auction company, she estimated that they were meant to look colonial, but possibly actually made in the 20s or 30s, thus making them antique. Although I wasnt able to find any research to back this up, I do know they were at least made prior to the 60s unless my hubbys grandparents were time travelers! I also know that even if these pieces were made today, purchasing such well-built, solid pieces of furniture would cost you a small fortune. Because of my lack of knowledge and the fact that we need to sell this furniture, youre getting these pieces for a steal! I was able to find an auction site that sold a similar end table for a few hundred, and that was just the end table.There are minor scuff marks on all of these pieces, as well as a water ring left by a cup on top of the dresser. There is no major damage, and the water ring would be easily removed with a coat of dark stain or even a furniture marker (is that sacrilegious on antiques? :o) ). Also, in the pictures, parts of the furniture may look faded. Thats actually misleading and the culprit is dust and smudging (sorry we didnt dust and wipe them down before the pictures).
