A matched pair of original Klipsch Heresy three-way speakers woofer-tweeter-horn. Model HBR (stands for Heresy – Birch). Seven-ply birch plywood cabinets, very sturdy and completely sound. These have been retrofitted and can be used as stage speakers – monitors or mains: ***All corners reinforced with steel angle-irons ***1/4-inch jacks replace protruding screw terminals (screw terminals still accessible, but not protruding) ***Sockets added for pole-mount speaker stands ***Heavy-duty handles ***Protective covers on drop-out hinges – instant attachment/detachment ***Speaker cables (not included) can be stored inside protective covers (see photo) ***Metal glides on bottom and side opposite handle These speakers are top-drawer speakers for high-end stereo systems, but outfitted with road-worthy fittings. I used them for several years in small clubs (solo singer, acoustic guitar – no heavy metal or hard rock, etc) but have used them at home (non-smoking) for my stereo for the past years. They’ve never been rained on, never been dropped, never been overdriven, etc. (Ran them with a 75-Watt Sunn Mixer). There's some cosmetic damage -- scuffed edges, scratches, etc -- from being moved around, but no structural, electronic or acoustic damage of any kind. The same model speaker was used in many disco and art theater settings, back in the day, and I’ve heard them used as side fill speakers in country and rock concerts.
