This Violin was Handmade By Theodore (Ted) Miller. Ted Miller is a Violin Maker and Luthier who lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma for many years. (he recently moved to CO) His violins are well known in Oklahoma for their beauty and sweet sounds. I bought my Miller violin in 2002 from Mr. Miller. I was the first owner of this violin. I paid 1500 dollars for it. Inside the instrument it says "Theodore Miller 2001" I have been very happy with this violin and love it's sweet, soft, warm sound. The D string is my favorite. It seems to be extra warm and rich. The E string also has a very warm but vibrant tone. The strings I have found that I like the best on this violin are the Obligatos. (right now I have Dominant Visions on it) I have played this violin alot. And I also took it with me when I traveled (The USA, S. Korea, and Israel) So it's been alot of places and has alot of memories inside it already. After my three months traveling in S. Korea the violin's top seperated slightly from the side - the luthier thought this might have been caused by the extreme humidity, in S. Korea. I had it fixed and it sounds the same as before). I am selling my Miller because I also have another violin (made by William Rhode) and at this time I need the money. I am a violin teacher and when I have a new student come for lessons they alway comment on the beauty of my Miller violin (the red color in the violin and the wood's beautiful natural design on the back) I play both classical and fiddle music and this violin sounds great with both styles of music.
